The actor is none other than The Office's Angela Kinsey, who played Angela Martin in the iconic NBC sitcom. It seems that her character might be a replacement for Eve Drake as Matt Parker's potential love interest.

According to ABC, Matt and Lynn "immediately hit it off and have a lot in common, but it's clear that something is amiss.""

This isn't surprising as Matt is single by the end of Shifting Gears Season 2 Episode 8 "Nutcracker". The synopsis for the episode reads:

"This holiday season, the Parkers discover that romance isn’t always a smooth ride as Matt and Eve are on thin ice, Gabe enlists Riley to help Amelie impress his mom, and Carter seeks help with his “promposal.” Pamela Adlon guest stars."

What happened in the fall finale?

Matt finally expressed his romantic feelings for Eve in the season 2 fall finale, which aired last week. Eve reciprocated Matt's feelings, but also revealed that she accepted a choreography job overseas. It involves a K-pop tour that requires her to be in South Korea and Europe for at least five months.

Matt is happy for Eve and supports her, but simultaneously expresses that he doesn't want to be away from her for five or probably even more months. Therefore, he ultimately ends the relationship between them. However, based on Lynn's character description, it seems that Matt and Eve might not be apart for that long.
