One of the main events in this episode is Alice's graduation. It is a quiet and small ceremony, intentionally so, because the importance here is not in the event but in Jimmy's delayed attendance. While Jimmy is late for the ceremony, and it seems tied to the emotional fallout with Sofi from the previous episode, the actual ceremony itself is not disrupted much at all.

The climax here is afterwards, when Jimmy and Alice sit together in the car. In this car scene, they acknowledge the fact that Tia is not there and grieve openly, both individually and as allies to each other. The episode doesn't solve everything at the end of the scene, but in these private moments, we see a slight shift in their respective emotional states, with the presence of each other acting as solace in their grief.

This quiet personal story continues into Jimmy's professional life, where he deals with rising conflict as Paul gives control of the clinic to Gaby without consulting him, a clear sign of distrust for Jimmy's current emotional and professional state.
