Silent Truth episode 6 was the most twisted episode of the Japanese series. Until now, the investigators were curious about Hideyuki Sakuma's murderer. However, the whole plot changed by the end of the episode, which revealed a new detail by Junichi that even his friends didn't know about.

In the Silent Truth episode 6, Nara, along with four friends, goes back to the forest. The group narrates the same story that they tell at the beginning of the series. Nara tries reenacting the complete situation, and from her calculations, she finds that it's impossible for the police officer to kill Oshima in the shooting incident.

This leads to the theory that another man killed Oshima, as the officer was already dead by that time. By the end of the episode, Junichi admits to killing the other person, which leaves everyone in shock.

In Silent Truth Episode 6, Naoto tells Junichi that he saw him shooting someone in the forest and promises to keep it a secret. Turns out, Junichi also has a mark in his palm from the incident that keeps haunting him. Until now, Junichi thought, he was the only one who knew about the complete incident. And while Naoto doesn't know the complete truth, he does know that Junichi killed someone.

Nara and Junichi have a talk about the possibility of the gun being taken from the scene. When Junichi tells Nara that people did see a light turned on in Makiko's salon on the night of the murder with a figure inside, Nara gets curious and starts keeping an eye on the salon. She finds out that it was Makiko's worker who was using the salon that day to dye her boyfriend's hair.

On the other hand, Junichi gets nightmares, which don't let him sleep in peace. He admits to his girlfriend that he committed a crime and shouldn't have become a police officer. However, he chose to become one because of its stability.

Makiko, who is afraid after getting to know that Nara has found out more details on her, calls Junichi and asks him to come. The two talk about childhood memories, and Makiko asks him why he decided to break contact with her, but Junichi denies saying anything like that. Turns out, he does remember everything but doesn't want to address it.

Nara takes Makiko, Naoto, Keisuke, and Junichi back to the forest to ask further questions and understand what happened twenty-three years ago. Upon reaching the scene, she repeats what was written in the investigation reports. Keisuke admits to hearing five gunshots and tells the same story to her. When Nara asks each friend one by one if they have to add anything, the three go with Keisuke's statement.

At this point, it's clear that Junichi is hiding something not only from Nara but also from all of his friends. He tells Nara that after he went down the forest alone, he hid behind the tree and found the officer's body. He soon came back and told his friends everything.

Nara came prepared and gave a toy gun to Junichi. According to her speculations, Keisuke's father was first shot and might have instantly died at the scene. This means somebody else took his gun and killed Oshima. Junichi then suggests that maybe an accomplice killed him and took the gun to avoid leaving fingerprints, but Nara doesn't believe his theory.

Junichi confesses to committing a crime

At this point, Nara believes that somebody else killed Oshima, considering the circumstances and distance. And since Junichi saw the officer first, she believes that it's him who might have murdered him.

When all the friends were very confused, especially Keisuke, since the complete scene was surrounding his father, Junichi suddenly started crying. Turns out, when he reached the scene, Oshima saw him, and in panic and anger, he shot at him using the officer's gun.

Not to forget, he was also very close to the officer, as he considered him his father, which might have possibly led to anger. The episode ends with Junichi admitting to killing Oshima.
