TLC has released the trailer for Sister Wives Season 21, and it looks like the new season will bring plenty of twists, changes, and exits. In the two-minute and thirty-second trailer, viewers learn about Kody and Robyn's exit after staying on the show for sixteen years, news that was shocking to others as well.

The trailer also hints at new changes in the three ex-wives' relationships and personal lives, with Meri deciding to find out where she wants to be and Janelle talking about her boyfriend, Pete, after announcing the news first on Instagram last month. On the other hand, the three ex-wives also reunite, but the meeting looks far from comfortable.

More on the story below.

The trailer of Sister Wives Season 21, uploaded on TLC, opens with Meri Brown, Christine Brown Woolley, and Janelle Brown confirming the new changes that have happened with a text soon stating that Kody and Robyn "will not be returning to the show" after sixteen years of filming Sister Wives.

While Christine expressed that she had no idea, Janelle added that she was flabbergasted, and Meri said that she was surprised after hearing the news. The trailer also shows the reunion of the three ex-wives, which seems a bit awkward. Janelle mentions that they were married to Kody and there was "underlying tension" as the three decided to melt down their jewelry they received from the ex-husband.

In another clip, Janelle reveals that Kody and Robyn accused her of trying to leave Meri out of the land deal. However, she seems frustrated that Meri seems to believe Kody's side of the story.

On the other hand, viewers also see Christine Brown Woolley talking about her husband, David Woolley, whom she married in 2023. He appears on the trailer with Christine, saying that they have known each other for less than four years.

The Sister Wives Season 21 trailer also hints at Janelle Brown's love story, with her stating that she would not be interested in a man who is "too much of a pretty boy" as she introduces Pete. Admiring him, she mentions that there are no red flags, as he is so nice. Janelle first shared the news about Pete on Instagram last month, sharing the photo of the two hugging. In the caption, she wrote that she wasn't looking for love but found something wonderful with him.

Towards the end of the Sister Wives Season 21 trailer, David also opens up about his relationship with Christine during therapy, saying that she is "Christine Woolley" when she is with him but becomes "Christine Brown" when she is on the other side. On the other hand, Meri also talks about her future, saying that she wants to figure out where she wants to be for the rest of her life while also exploring new relationships along the way, as she meets another man who gives her flowers. Earlier this February, E! Online reported that Meri had started seeing Ron after meeting him at a speed-dating event.

However, the trailer does not reveal why Kody and Robyn will not be returning for Season 21, leaving the reason for their exit unclear for now. Speaking about their relationship, Kody previously said in the TLC series that he and Robyn were trying to hold on to their marriage and also opened up about the difficult changes in their family, explaining that they had been dealing with the family breaking apart for four years or even longer.

Sister Wives Season 21 is scheduled to release on October 4.
