Slow Horses Season 6 brings back a familiar face as Lamb's agents go dark - Episode 2 recap ahead

Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 2 is titled Daddy Issues and was released on Apple TV+ on September 23.

The latest episode of the platform's spy thriller series continued Jackson Lamb's investigation into the mysterious murders of former Slough House agents. While Shirley and Coe discovered that Kay White's death was not accidental, the assassin couple set their sights on Moira Tregorian next. Pretending to investigate a gas leak at Moira's house, the couple filled her property with gas and killed her.

Elsewhere, Lamb and River learned that Frank is connected to the stolen MI5 files, which forced Lamb to order his agents to go dark. While investigating his father, River returned to his grandfather's house, only to see Sid Baker, who was back from the dead.

Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 2 recap: What is Frank up to?

Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 2 revealed the real reason behind Frank Harkness' return to London. Frank was hired by a wealthy media owner named Damien (and Peter Judd's political ally) to steal a crucial MI5 file containing all records of the Slough House agents. For this, Frank hired a former Dog named Andrew Nesmith, who was caught while stealing something from Molly's archives. But luckily for Frank and Damien, Andrew was not caught for the theft but for trespassing in the archives, which means the Parks are still unaware of the stolen file.

After his task went haywire and he lost his job, Andrew started blackmailing the people who hired him. To cover their tracks, Frank got hold of Andrew, killed him, and staged it as a su*c*de.

Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 2 recap: River is suspicious of Frank

While Lamb was concerned about Slough House in Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 2, River had set his sights on his father. He asked Roddy Ho to trace Frank's rental car, which took him and Lamb to Andrew's house, only to find the dead body of the former Dog. While Frank had staged the murder as su*c*de, Lamb and River were sure that Andrew's death was no accident. Just then, River noticed a CCTV camera near Andrew's house, and the footage revealed the presence of a child at the crime scene.

Roddy Ho later identified the child as Andrew's son Reece, who had moved between foster homes. River was sure that Reece had likely witnessed something important about his father's death, making him an immediate target.

River's fears were proven right when Frank met with Damien. Frank revealed that he took care of the loose thread, but there was a 'minor third-party' complication, hinting that he would come after Reece in upcoming episodes.

In the final moments of Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 2, Lamb met Molly and discovered the contents of the stolen MI5 file. Lamb also learned that Slough House's physical records were erased from the Park's servers, which is how the assassins were able to track the agents. Realizing that his agents were brutally exposed, Lamb ordered them to meet him at Blake's Grave, switch off their phones, and go dark. But River was on his personal mission to track down his father.

Throughout Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 2, River had been receiving blank calls, which he was certain were from Frank. River even asked Roddy to trace the calls, and he was furious to learn that Frank had been calling him from David Cartwright's house.

In the final moments of Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 2, River went to his grandfather's house to confront Frank. However, Frank was nowhere to be seen. Instead, River was shocked to see Sid Baker, the former Slough House agent presumed dead in Season 1, at his grandfather's house, concluding the episode on a nail-biting cliffhanger.
