Slow Horses Season 6 is just a few hours away. Town & Country magazine released a five-minute preview last week, and it features the return of Struan Loy, who was last seen all the way back in season 1. It seems Struan's life has fallen apart after his dismissal from service in the first season.The first five minutes of the season 6 premiere focus on Loy's life after his dismissal. Later, we see him shopping, and at the cash counter he is trying to strike up a conversation with the cashier. It is through this conversation that we learn he has been living in a shipping container.However, the cashier is disinterested, and he leaves the grocery store and drives to the container he is living in. However, upon reaching the container, Loy is greeted by Jim (Soller) and Jane (Buring). He takes the two people inside his container, and they talk about the idea of pitching containers as residential condos. But this is where the Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 1 preview takes a darker turn.Jim and Jane attack Loy and burn down the container with him inside. However, Loy is not the only Slough House member that the two assassins murder. The teaser trailer released last month also features a moment in which Jim murders a woman who used to work for the Slough House by drowning her.Therefore, it is clear that none of our heroes are safe since these two killers are targeting people who used to be a part of the team.What can we expect from the sixth season? As for why they are hunting down Lamb and his team, the Slow Horses Season 6 official logline did reveal that Diana Taverner, the new MI5 Director General who replaced Claude Whelan in the season 5 finale, set them up.Gaby Chiappe, the new head writer, was interviewed by Town & Country magazine last week. In that interview, Chiappe teased that the team has a Sisyphean task ahead of them in Slow Horses Season 6. She also revealed that the team has to figure out why the assassins are after them if they want to survive. Chiappe also teased an exciting season 6, stating:“Along with the tension, the edge-of-your seat action and the wit and humor we all love, we’re also going to see some fabulous returning characters. This series promises some long overdue reckonings with ghosts from the past—especially for River."She continued:"On top of all that, we’ve got a teenager on board for the first time, a story that began in season one being given a brilliantly unexpected second chapter, characters we thought were absolutely rock-solid being pushed to the very edge, and a humdinger of an end-of-season cliffhanger.”Slow Horses Season 6 premieres on Apple TV on September 16, 2026.
