Slow Horses Season 6 release schedule: Here’s when every new episode drops

Slow Horses Season 6 is returning with fresh episodes and a major twist that will completely change the game. There will be a total of 6 episodes, released weekly. The first episode will release on September 16, and the season will end on October 21.

The last season ended with Taverner and MI5 being forced to choose between paying the ransom or suffering severe consequences. The episode titled "Scars" showed MI5 sending $100 million to Tara.

Tara had argued that the value placed on the oil reserves was a serious underestimate, but she believed that the embarrassment MI5 would face was more satisfying than money. She had warned that if the Libyans denied payment and demanded safe passage back home, they would move forward with step seven of their destabilization plan.

A quick glimpse of the last season's ending before watching Slow Horses Season 6

Last season, we saw that Whelan's departure twisted the story after Taverner took leadership at First Desk of MI5 (the Park). Despite the change, David Cartwright continued his challenging battle with Alzheimer's disease while his grandson River remained bound to Slough House with his hopes of getting independence. Meanwhile, Lamb maintained his authority over the group, even in the wake of Whelan's abrupt warning shot.

Storyline

Season 6 brings the Slough House team back into action with a more dangerous and darker story. The MI5 outcasts experience a coordinated strike that threatens their survival.

The new chapter introduces fresh characters, builds a plot shaped by political tension, and highlights important returning characters. The Apple TV espionage series continues with higher risks and deeper intrigue.

The official synopsis states that Diana Taverner pulls the Slough House team into a dangerous game of revenge and counterattacks. The previews of the trailer reveal intense shootouts, explosive moments, fast car chases, and heavy clashes that set the stage for the season's conflict.

Returning cast and new faces

Kristin Scott Thomas, Gary Oldman, Saskia Reeves, Jack Lowden, Christopher Chung, and Rosalind Eleazar are returning in the lead roles. Olivia Cooke is coming back as Sid Baker after being absent from the series for quite a long time.

New faces are also introduced in the series. They are Lenny Rush, Kyle Soller, and Harry Lloyd, while Hugo Weaving reprises his role as Frank Harkness.

Apple TV has already confirmed Season 7, where Jackson Lamb and his team will track down and neutralize a dangerous mole hidden deep inside the British government. Season 7's story has been adapted from the eighth novel in Mick Herron's acclaimed Slough House book series, named Bad Actors.
