British comedy drama Small Prophets made its way into Apple TV in the United States after streaming on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer early this year. The Pearce Quigley-led BBC series dropped on Apple TV this week, almost six months after it completed its six-episode run in the United Kingdom. In addition to being a comedy, the series also has some fantasy elements.Apple TV dropped the first two episodes together this Wednesday, and the remaining four episodes will stream on a weekly basis until November 04, 2026. If you have already seen the series on BBC, you would know that the Small Prophets finale ends on a cliffhanger. The first episode builds up to the closing minutes in which Michael finds the drawing of the humanoid creatures that his father drew.The second episode then builds up his friendship with Kacey. The episode begins with Michael starting the process to create the homunculi. However, the turning point is in the second half of the episode when Michael visits the pub with Kacey. There, a drunk Michael informs Kacey about creating homunculi, setting up her choice to help him in the second-half of the series.Episodes 3, 4, 5, and 6 follow Michael and Kacey trying to hide what they are doing from their nosy neighbors. Meanwhile, the creatures, which are born in the closing minutes of the second episode, mature slowly to reach the stage at which they can answer Michael, which he learns in the sixth episode, resulting in a cliffhanger ending.Will this BBC series continue past the first season? They did so through an official press release, which read:"Small Prophets – the hit BBC comedy conjured up by Mackenzie Crook – is to return for a second series following its stellar first run.
