Fan-adored stars Song Kang and Kim So Hyun are confirmed to be teaming up again, but fans expecting another Love Alarm-style romance are in for something quite different. MBC confirmed that these actors will lead the upcoming Friday-Saturday drama White Scandal (current title).

This will be the second time Song and Kim are working as the main leads in a K-drama, and as previously mentioned, they will appear as two individuals carrying very different kinds of baggage. Song Kang plays Dan Yi-hyuk, a hugely popular actor who also comes from a powerful chaebol family and wants to break free from the future chosen for him.

Kim So Hyun takes on Ji Eun-seol, a former child star whose promising career fell apart after a painful incident. When their lives cross again, they find themselves entering a relationship that is not quite what it appears to be. And that is where White Scandal begins.

More details below!

White Scandal is going to be Kim So Hyun and Song Kang's next big K-drama, scheduled to air on MBC. Instead of playing young characters caught up in a conventional romantic triangle, the two stars will portray adults dealing with the consequences of their past and the pressures surrounding their present lives.

Song's Dan Yi-hyuk belongs to a powerful family, but that does not make him feel happy or satisfied with his life. He has a status and public attention that may please people around him, but Yi-hyuk does not want to simply step into the position his grandfather has prepared for him.

While not much has been revealed about the plot, one thing is clear: Yi-hyuk's family background is going to be part of the central conflict. On the other side, there's Kim So Hyun’s Ji Eun-seol, who has faced a very different kind of downfall.

She once had a promising career as a child actress, but an incident connected to her family changed everything. She is no longer living the life she used to enjoy, but that doesn't mean she will give up on her acting career either.

Reports suggest that Yi-hyuk becomes a key figure in Eun-seol's life because he's connected to the painful period that changed her life. The two will likely agree to maintain a fake relationship for their own reasons.

The relationship that was supposed to only fulfill their individual needs soon starts exposing secrets and scandals. This will likely bring them closer as they get to know things they never expected.

The moment fans see Song Kang and Kim So Hyun together in White Scandal, they'll naturally think about Love Alarm and their characters Sun-oh and Jojo. But in the new K-drama, things are very different.

From the characters to the events surrounding them, the entire drama will feel fresh and exciting. Not just Song Kang and Kim So Hyun, but the project also has a notable team behind it.

Kim Cheol-gyu, known for Mother and Flower of Evil, is directing, while Kim Ga-eun, who worked on Call It Love, is writing. Ghost Studio and Web Script Creative are involved in production, with Yoon Hong-mi credited for planning. Overall, fans should look forward to an upcoming K-drama with a unique plot.
