Ahead of the show's release, here are some vital details that fans must know, including the release date, cast members, and what to expect as the storyline progresses.

Special Ops: Lioness Season 3 - everything you need to know

Lioness originally premiered back in July 2023, and after the show became a massive hit, Season 2 premiered in October 2024. Season 3 was announced shortly after, and while the much-awaited sequel does not have a release date yet, news has been confirmed that production for the show is in progress as of now.

As for the cast, Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman will resume their roles as the leading cast for the show, as well as don the hats of executive producers of the show, as was the case with previous seasons. Aside from the leading duo, the show will also see Ian Bohen in the character of Brady, who has been described as "a by-the-book Delta Force operator and primary K9 handler, skilled in battlefield tactics." Alongside Bohen, fans will also see Elizaveta Neretin in the show, playing the role of an operative agent who crosses paths with Joe.

Bohen has previously been seen in his work in Yellowstone and Wind River, and Neretin has starred in Mayor of Kingstown previously.

Aside from these two actors, the cast for Lioness Season 3 will also include James Jordan, Austen Hébert, Lamonica Garrett, Laysla De Oliveira, Jill Wagner, and Genesis Rodriguez.

Although an official storyline has not been announced for the season, it can be expected that the season will see the leading duo take forward the CIA's Lioness program, undertaking covert operations to overturn terrorist attacks. However, things will be more clear when an official logline is announced.

After its release, Special Ops: Lioness Season 3 will be available to stream on Paramount+.
