Speed and Love cast and characters explained
Esther Yu as Jiang Mu

Jiang Mu is the lead female in the drama who believes Zhao is his brother. However, she soon comes to know that they are not blood-related siblings and goes to find him. Her character is kind, understanding, and lively, but at times, when pushed, she can also be stubborn, like fighting with her mother to stay in her father's place or pushing Zhao to make her drop to school on his bike.
He Yu as Jin Zhao

Jin Zhao is the lead male character in the series, who is not afraid of anything. He works in a garage shop and is also in car racing and boxing, something that Mu worries a lot about. However, even after having the rebel vibes, he is very protective of Mu and takes care of her through everything, like he used to do in their early days. Even when he meets Mu for the first time after they're all grown up, he looks after her and tries to protect her while trying to maintain a distance because of their old sibling bond.
He is the adopted brother of Mu, who was brought home by Mu's father. In his childhood, he was shown to be an excellent student with neat handwriting. In later episodes, it is also revealed that Mu's father helps him learn car techniques, which helps him in racing.
Fei Qi Ming as San Lai

San Lai is one of the most cheerful characters in the series and is very close to Zhao. He also shares a strong bond with Mu and is kind and playful with her. Mu teaches him driving techniques, and he later gives her a puppy, which she keeps as a pet. It is also revealed that Lai sold his business to collect money for Zhao when he was in a problem, showing how close they are as friends. Lai also has a hint that Zhao likes Mu and even tries pushing him to confess his feelings.
Mike Angelo as Lin Luo

In the starting episodes, Lin is all out finding more details about Zhao, even if it means coming close to Mu. He eventually meets Zhao and even offers him to join him in his racing team after he finds his driving skills impressive. Though Zhao declines the offer. While Lin is not interested in Mu and uses her only as a medium to get close to Zhao, he seems to find her interesting after seeing her driving skills. However, whether he will eventually develop feelings for her is something that is not revealed yet in the series.
Patrick Nattawat Finkler as Liang Yanfeng

Patrick is also a racer in the series. He seems closer to Lin, helping him get closer to Zhao by recording his and Mu's car driving and sending the video to Zhao. However, many details about him are not yet revealed in the series as of yet.
Luan Yuan Hui as Jin Qiang
Jin Qiang is the father of Mu and the one who adopted Zhao. In the series, he is shown as a drunkard who has a lot of knowledge of cars. However, he is very caring towards Mu, even if it means cooking for Mu, even when he is drunk. He lives with his second wife and their young girl.
Li Ao as Na Na

Na Na is a friend of Mu, and the two first met when Mu was travelling to look for his brother. The two attend the same school and are pretty close. Na Na is also very protective of Mu and even tries helping her realize her real feelings for Zhao.
Sun Mei Lin as Wan Qing

Famously known as Snakey in the drama, Qing is another supporting character in the series. She likes Zhao, and though Zhao somewhat knows this, he is not interested in her. In certain episodes, Qing also tries to intimidate Mu, whom she thinks is a threat because of their growing closeness. However, she also proves to be kind-hearted, standing by Zhao whenever he faces challenges, even if he doesn't need her help.
