Spooky in Love Episode 3 leaves Gang-uk face-to-face with the supernatural - a recap

Spooky in Love is back with episode 3, and as the story continues, Gang-uk gradually learns about Yeo-ri's supernatural abilities. The K-drama is about the heiress of a hotel who can see and communicate with ghosts.

Yeo-ri seems to live a perfect life, but deep down she feels lonely over her failed marriage and the fact that she cannot touch anyone, or else the person will end up temporarily gaining the same ability. However, her life changes when she teams up with a prosecutor.

Despite Gang-uk's fear of ghosts, he wants to work with Yeo-ri to solve criminal cases. Initially, he believed that it wouldn't be that scary to see ghosts, but once he came face-to-face with one of them in the latest episode 3, he freaked out in a way no one saw coming.

Spooky in Love Episode 3 recap: Da-mi's truth comes to light as Gang-uk and Yeo-ri close the case

Spooky in Love episode 3 kicks off with Yeo-ri and Gang-uk falling into the sea after the cliff incident, where they discover Da-mi's body. Although both are rescued safely, Gang-uk is left wondering why Yeo-ri refused to take his hand during the dangerous moment.

A flashback then explains the mystery: Da-mi had confronted designer Hae-na for stealing her dress design. He claimed that the design was inspired by her fisherwoman grandmother's heritage.

When Da-mi threatened to expose the truth, Hae-na tried to seize her phone. During the struggle, Da-mi's phone fell into the water before Hae-na pushed her underwater. Hae-na also lost her own phone while fleeing the scene.

The focus then shifts to the present in episode 3 of Spooky in Love, and Da-min's spirit finally finds peace after the truth is revealed. Everyone comes to know the truth about Hae-na, and she ends up getting arrested.

Later, Gang-uk prepares to return to Seoul and briefly believes he has spotted his grandmother, but Madame Paeng insists she is not on Jeju Island and warns him to stay away from the sea. Before parting ways, Yeo-ri thanks Gang-uk for helping solve the case but asks him to continue without her.

Once Yeo-ri returns to Seoul, she ends up in a family drama that could change her future. Chairwoman Baek reveals that Yeo-ri is her biological granddaughter and the person she wants to inherit the family business. To secure that future, she orders Yeo-ri to marry Min-hwan within two months, refusing to discuss any other option.

While Yeo-ri has questions and is a little confused, her cousin Ha-ri and her mother, Gye-hee, are frustrated over this decision. They question why the chairwoman always favors Yeo-ri.

While Gye-hee unsuccessfully tries to build a business partnership with Min-hwan, Ha-ri meets Seung-jae in prison. He claims Yeo-ri framed him and promises to help Ha-ri take control of Reina Hotels once he is released.

Ha-ri later confronts Yeo-ri about her ability to see ghosts, threatening to expose the secret that Yeo-ri has hidden for years. A flashback reveals that Yeo-ri only pretended to lose her supernatural abilities after an exhausting ritual arranged by Chairwoman Baek.

Gang-uk's feelings towards Yeo-ri become increasingly complicated after returning from Jeju. His curiosity grows even more when they unexpectedly meet during a night out, where a drunken Yeo-ri loudly claims they had shared a bed, leaving everyone around them shocked.

The two continue to drink together, and Yeo-ri loses control. She openly talks about seeing ghosts and even tears Gan-uk's shirt. Although she later apologizes by sending him an expensive replacement, Gang-uk insists on returning it himself, leading him to Yeo-ri's home.

Before the Spooky in Love episode 3 ends, Gang-uk freaks out when he sees the ghost of a young boy after touching Yeo-ri's bare hands. Yeo-ri checks whether he can really see ghosts and confirms it.

When Gang-uk returns home by the end of Spooky in Love episode 3, the ghost follows him. He has no option but to call Yo-ri for help. After revealing the truth about her supernatural condition, Yeo-ri leaves Gang-uk stunned. The episode ends with the two agreeing to solve the boy's case.
