Spooky in Love Episode 7 sees Kang-wook stepping in to save Yeo-ri from a forced engagement deal - Recap ahead

Episode 7 of Spooky in Love revealed how Yeo-ri and Kang-wook joined hands to help her avoid being forced to get engaged to Min-hwan, and announced to her family that they were dating. While no one actually believes their relationship is true, it is shown that their feelings for each other might be genuine, though they do not realise it yet.

Furthermore, the episode also highlights how the duo solves the 300-year-old cold case and jumps into another case at the end. The K-drama is also slowly revealing Yeo-ri's past and more about Min-hwan's brother and the accident that took his life and left Yeo-ri with the special ability.

Spooky in Love Episode 7 recap: Yeo-ri announces she is dating Kang-wook to her family

The previous episode of Spooky in Love ended with a cliffhanger in which we all feared everything would go wrong for Yeo-ri, but Episode 7 revealed how she got herself out of a tricky situation with Kang-wook's help. As her grandmother was ready to announce her engagement with Min-hwan, Yeo-ri brought Kang-wook to introduce him to her family as her boyfriend.

While the duo struggled to convince everyone about their relationship, Yeo-ri and Kang-wook did not give up. On the other hand, Min-hwan also does not appear to have given up on Yeo-ri as he quietly tries to find a way to break up their fake relationship.

However, while Yeo-ri and Kang-wook are not really dating, they still decide to go on dates and collect evidence to prove their relationship if asked. Although they claim everything's fake, they clearly have feelings for each other, which appear to be slowly growing.

Spooky in Love Episode 7 recap: Hwagyeongdang's remains are found under the Camellia tree

Episode 7 of the K-drama also solves the 300-year-old cold case when Hwagyeongdang's remains are finally found under the Camellia tree at Yeeon Art Gallery. Yeo-ri witnesses the reunion of Hwagyeongdang and Dowon as they finally pass on.

She also confronts Director Hwa-young when she decides to bury Hwagyeongdang near Prince Gangpyeong's grave. Yeo-ri and Kang-wook reveal the other half of the poem, proving it was written by Hwagyeongdang for Dowon, not the Prince. They ask her not to meddle with Hwagyeongdang's remains, or else they will publish the other half of the poem.

Later, Yeo-ri learns about anomalies in Reina's art purchases. Ji-wook tells her that several of the art pieces bought from the Cheon gallery were paid higher prices. While Yeo-ri learns about these discrepancies, Ha-ri tries to gather evidence proving Yeo-ri still sees ghosts and destroy her reputation. On the other hand, Gye-hee starts scheming to get Yeo-ri out of Reina.

Spooky in Love Episode 7 recap: A new case for Yeo-ri and Kang-wook

The latest episode also reveals that both Min-hwan and his brother, Jin-hwan, who died in the Yacht accident, have loved Yeo-ri for a long time. Just like Min-hwan, Jin-hwan also wanted to confess to Yeo-ri before he died in the accident.

Elsewhere, Kang-wook convinces Yeo-ri to start investigating the 12-year-old accident that killed Jin-hwan and left her with the ability to see ghosts. Furthermore, the episode also shows Min-hwan hell-bent on trying to separate Yeo-ri and Kang-wook. The upcoming episodes will show how he plans to do that.

The episode ended with Yeo-ri learning about Si-o from Sio Atelier's death. It is revealed that Si-o's twin brother, who is a gambling addict, wanted to borrow money from Si-o. To which he refused, and was accidentally killed by him.

Yeo-ri and Kang-wook would be seen solving Si-o's case in Episode 8 of Spooky in Love.
