On June 9, 1995, Morgan Chauntel Nick, the six-year-old daughter of Colleen Nick and John Nick, was watching a Little League game at the Alma Baseball Complex. Colleen and her daughter, Morgan, traveled from their home in Ozark to watch the baseball game in Alma at approximately 10:30 PM. Soon, the six-year-old went missing after she went to watch fireflies with her friends away from the stands.

Colleen recalled seeing her daughter running near the field with her friends during the game. According to ABC News, Colleen remembered watching her daughter, who was wearing a green Girl Scout T-shirt, blue denim shorts, and white tennis shoes with her friends. According to the Morgan Nick Foundation, Morgan went missing at 10:45 PM on June 9, 1995. She was last seen by her friends standing near her mother's car, emptying sand from her shoes. The friends told police that they saw a man who was near a red camper truck talking to Morgan.

Unfortunately, to this day, the missing case remains unsolved. Neither Morgan nor her remains have been found. To this day, no one has been formally charged with Morgan's abduction, and the case remains unsolved.

After fruitless attempts to locate her, Colleen founded the Morgan Nick Foundation in 1996 to help find missing children and support the victims' families.

During the investigation, the authorities found a pivotal clue, a suspicious red pickup truck with a white camper that was parked near the field during Morgan's disappearance. According to the local police reports, the man in the truck was allegedly approaching children. However, for years, neither the detectives nor the FBI agents could find any suspect despite receiving numerous tips from multiple people.

Almost three decades later, the biggest lead was announced in October 2024. According to KOAM, the Alma, Arkansas, police held a conference naming Billy Jack Lincks as the only suspect in the Morgan Nick missing case.

The Alma police detectives in 2019 began to review the case when they located the truck Billy Jack Lincks owned in 1995. The current owner allowed the detectives to conduct the investigation. On July 28, 2020, the FBI Evidence Response Team searched the truck and gathered evidence using advanced vacuum techniques.

According to ABC News, Lincks was apparently convicted of sexual indecency after attempting to kidnap a child two months after Morgan's disappearance. The victim told the police that Lincks arrived in a red pickup truck that was similar to the one that was present during Morgan's disappearance.

Lincks was charged with sexual abuse in 1992. Lincks died at the age of 75 in 2000 in prison.

The FBI took possession of Lincks' truck for further investigation. According to KOAM, in July 2023, Detective Shawn Taylor learnt that advanced analysis was available at Othram Laboratory in Texas. Taylor sent the evidence that the FBI collected from the truck. On December 1, 2023, he submitted the evidence to the laboratory. On September 27, 2024, the Othram Laboratory sent the analysis report. The hair found in the evidence matched Colleen Nick's DNA.

The investigators also found some green cotton fibre under the seat and metal pieces on the truck. The detectives suggested that the fibre could be from Morgan's Girl Scout shirt she was wearing the day she went missing. The fibre matched the Girl Scout's shirt. However, Lincks is yet to be formally charged with Morgan's abduction.

According to the Morgan Nick Foundation, the FBI and local communities offered a $60,000 reward for the recovery of Morgan Chauntel Nick and the identification and arrest of the subjects responsible for her abduction.
