Still Shining finale recap and ending explained: Eun-A takes her final decision while Tae-seo opens up about his emotions

Still Shining dropped the finale, and the episode is replete with heartwarming elements that the viewers have been eager to watch. Eun-A and Tae-seo’s story, which went through a multitude of difficulties and complications, faces yet another challenge at the end of the series.

It cannot be denied that the aspect of realism in the performance of the cast members makes this series worth watching.

Still Shining's finale episode, that is, episode 10, starts with Eun-A and Tae-seo coming across a heartwarming moment. Eun-A waits for Tae-seo at the same roadside in Yeonwoo where the two of them rode their bicycles. She wants to say goodbye to Tae-seo before leaving. Right at that moment, Tae-seo arrives. However, instead of speaking, the two of them are not able to speak a single word. They just stare at each other.

The scene is charged with emotions. Soon, Hui-seo and A-sol arrive at the location. Hui-seo urges Tae-seo to leave with them. During their dinner, A-sol is not happy to see Tae-seo completely engrossed in thoughts. It can be understood that the meeting with Eun-A has affected him immensely. He is not able to get Eun-A’s thoughts out of his mind.

This episode of Still Shining continues with Tae-seo's return. He tries to message Eun-A. However, he is not able to send the message. The next day, Tae-seo visits his grandmother. His grandmother is able to recognize him. However, she has mixed up the timeline.

She thinks that Tae-seo is on leave from the military. It is an indication that her memory is failing. Tae-seo leaves the room. He finds Hui-seo waiting for him. He asks Hui-seo about Eun-A. However, Hui-seo does not reply.

This episode of Still Shining continues with Tae-seo travelling on the bus when he is stopped by Eun-A’s granny. She tells him that Eun-A should have returned by then but did not. She is worried as Eun-A took the beat-up bicycle with her. She urges Tae-seo to find her. Tae-seo does not waste any time and leaves right away. He finds Eun-A at their old school.

Eun-A tells Tae-seo that she was not aware that the school had closed down. wants to know about Eun-A's reason to return to Yeonwoo. He did not expect that she would return. She then asks Tae-seo to follow her from behind as the light of her bicycle is broken. Tae-seo follows her instructions right away. They then reach the intersection where they are meant to go their separate ways.

They stop for a moment. Neither Tae-seo nor Eun-A is able to leave, prolonging this emotional moment. Eun-A's arrival and eventual departure are undeniably affecting Tae-seo. The manner in which this moment is charged with emotions as the two of them navigate through their own struggles leaves an impact.

This episode of Still Shining continues with Tae-seo calling Eun-A. Tae-seo asks Eun-A if he caused any trouble for her. Eun-A tells him that there is no need for him to be worried about her. The two of them then share a heartwrenching conversation. However, their dynamic does not change. Right at that moment, A-sol arrives. On the other hand, Eun-A gets a call from Hae-jin.

Hae-jin asks her to cover for her at work the next day. Eun-A agrees and does so the next day. Hae-jin is extremely happy that Eun-A agreed to help her. Hae-jin then urges Eun-A to go meet someone, as she has already come a long way. Eun-A tries to visit Tae-seo’s house. However, when she finds A-sol there, she leaves.

This episode of Still Shining continues with Eun-A and Tae-seo meeting once again. They visit the guesthouse together. They begin to discuss their past. Eun-A tells Tae-seo that she is leaving on Friday.

Things take a turn when she tells Tae-seo about her dynamic with So-hyeon. Tae-seo asks her if she will be returning. However, Eun-A tells him that she does not plan to return. Eun-A also tells him that she often logs into his account to listen to music.

This episode of Still Shining progresses with Seong-chan calling Eun-A. He did not expect that Eun-A’s number would still be valid. They discuss Eun-A leaving Korea. Seong-chan asks Eun-A if she has something to say to him. He then proceeds to talk about the past circumstances that created difficulties for them. They are able to sort out their difficulties before Eun-A leaves.

On the other hand, A-sol finds Eun-A’s photos in Tae-seo’s house. The photos begin to affect her. A-sol understands that she needs to end things with him. However, she is not able to speak to him about this. Right at that moment, she gets a call from her mother.

Her mother informs her about her father’s illness. She rushes to the location and finds that her father will have bouts like this often. She then tells Tae-seo that it is time for her to hear about the things that he is thankful for. They share a heartfelt moment before Tae-seo finally leaves. He then starts working on her father’s picture.

This episode of Still Shining ends with Tae-seo’s granny returning from the hospital. Her condition slowly gets better. Tae-seo then sends a message to Eun-A. He tells her that he will be seeing her off the next day. The next day, Eun-A finds Tae-seo waiting for her at the bus stop. They share a silent bus ride together, followed by a silent train ride. During the train ride, Tae-seo sends Eun-A many pictures of his everyday routine, which she wanted to see.

After reaching the airport, things take a turn between the two of them. They share a prolonged hug. While hugging Eun-A, Tae-seo says that he loves her. However, Eun-A does not say anything. She just hugs him tighter, setting the stage with an emotional note. After a year has passed, it can be seen that Tae-seo is able to achieve his dream job. Eun-A also sends her pictures from Hawaii. At the very end of Still Shining, Tae-seo reaches the guesthouse and begins to decorate it. He also adds a nameplate on the guesthouse with Eun-A’s name.
