With her appearance on the show, however, one of the most talked about scenes is the dining table scene that Abrams shares with Priah Ferguson's Erica and Jake Connelly's Derek, who is Erica's brother on the show.

While the scene is considered to be one of the funniest scenes this season, it also gives fans an insight into the relationship shared between the two friends. Caroline Elle Abrams also recently addressed this dynamic in a recent chat with Netflix.

Caroline Elle Abrams says her character's relationship with Erica in Stranger Things Season 5 perfectly depicts a teenage friendship

In a recent interview with Netflix, Abrams got candid about her experience working on Stranger Things Season 5 and shared her take on her character and the dynamics she shared with other members of the cast.

While she highlighted mostly positive things, when asked about the relationship shared between her character and Erica, she mentioned that it perfectly depicted a teenage friendship, where seemingly unimportant things can lead to fights that feel like the end of the world.

"I think it’s so funny because, obviously, I’m a teenage girl, and I’ve gone through middle school. I’ve had those really stupid friendship fights. I remembered my 13-year-old self and how dramatic she was at times and pulled from that. I really wanted to make sure that it wasn’t played too over-the-top because, at the end of the day, when you’re that age, you really do believe these things are the end of the world. I think that’s what made the fight so funny because it was very authentic."

Speaking about the viral dining table scene, the sixteen-year-old actress revealed that she had a really hard time containing her laughter, and attributed this mainly to Priah Ferguson's comic timing.

"I could not contain myself. The second they called ‘cut,’ I would just die laughing because everything Priah does is so iconic — the way she delivers it is so funny and spot on."

The scene shows Erica forcing the Turnbow family to eat a drugged pie so she could get them all to faint, so that she could protect Derek from Vecna. However, Tina becomes suspicious and refuses to eat the pie, which ultimately results in Erica forcefully sticking a syringe into her friend's neck.

Volume 2 of Stranger Things Season 5 is scheduled to release on December 25, following which the series finale will release on December 31st.
