Stuart comes across yet another familiar face in Stuart Fails to Save the Universe Episode 2, recap below

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe Episode 2 starts with Bert and Barry looking out the window and pondering the lack of mutants and giant moths. Though Bert is happy, Barry misses his “hawem”. Right at that moment, Stuart arrives and informs them that he could not find Denise.

Barry informs them that there is a possibility that Denise must have been too far away from the “interdimensional bubble” which was created by the Leonard/Sheldon device; however, Stuart is not happy with the situation as he has now lost the love of his life and is stuck with Barry and Bert. Things take a turn when the customers at the store ask about a comic book about Superman and Lex Luthor being best friends.

The comic book store also has Archie comics and Richie Rich comics, which Stuart never has in his store. Stuart and Barry then begin to argue about who caused this trouble by disrupting the machine. Right at that moment, the two of them are shocked, causing them to fall on the ground. Bert then realizes that there is a device attached to his neck.

The device causes them to get shocked whenever they have an argument. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe Episode 2 continues with the three of them realizing that in this universe everyone is nice to one another only because of the device that is implanted in their neck. Soon, they come across a floating obelisk, which they understand is a piece of the puzzle in this universe.

Barry notes that they should find Leonard and Sheldon so that they can help them; however, Stuart is more eager to find Denise. Barry adds that they should stick together and gets angry when Stuart does not listen, causing him to get shocked once again. At the California Institute of Technology, Barry and Bert come across Ramon Nowitzki, who is a receptionist.

On the other hand, Stuart arrives at Denise’s house and is warmly welcomed. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe continues with Barry and Bert trying their best to make Nowitzki understand the urgency of their situation while Stuart opens up about the reason for his arrival at Denise’s house. Stuart tells Gary and Denise that she should be with him. Gary and Denise then tell him that even though they want to leave each other, they cannot do it because the neck implant hurts them.

On the other hand, Barry and Bert also fail in their mission to get information from Nowitzki. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe continues with Barry, Bert, and Stuart getting arrested. They are taken to a re-education center where, through a projector screen, a woman begins to explain how this universe works.

She reveals that as their world was on the verge of ending, an AI was built, which began to kill its creators. The AI then implanted electronic punishment devices in everyone’s brain stem, causing the creation of a world without anger. Stuart realizes that unless they escape the re-education center, they will be stuck there for thirty months for the process.

However, they are not able to escape and end up spending thirty months at the center. After thirty months, they are able to leave the center, but right after they leave the center, they are abducted.

This episode continues with the arrival of Zack, who tells them that he has rescued them. Right at that moment, Penny arrives and begins to slap Stuart to reprogram him. Penny is part of a rebellion, and Denise is also a part of it. Denise arrives and asks Stuart about the device.

They want to get rid of the AI. This episode ends with Barry telling them drones are arriving at the location to stop the rebellion. An intense fight starts between the rebellion and the drones. Barry starts the device, and they are able to escape from this universe to a universe where magic is real, setting the stage for yet another challenge.
