Sugar Season 2 cast: Who's returning and who's new

Apple TV's neo-noir mystery drama, Sugar Season 2, is all set to release on June 19, 2026. Created by Mark Protosevich, this series is set in Los Angeles and follows a private investigator, John Sugar, who is recruited by a movie producer, Jonathan Siegel, to investigate the disappearance of his granddaughter, Olivia Siegel. Sugar specializes in finding missing people.

Season 1 establishes a shocking twist: Sugar is an extraterrestrial being. He chooses to remain on Earth to continue to search for his missing sister.

The three-time Golden Globes award winning actor Colin Farrell leads the series as John Sugars. Owing to the first season's popularity, the show was renewed for a second season. However, it seems like the series is set to welcome a bunch of new faces, which include Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, and Tony Dalton, to name a few.

Sugar Season 2 is set to premiere on June 19, 2026. New episodes will drop every week on Friday until the finale episode, which is scheduled for August 7.

Colin Farrell as John Sugar

Colin Farrell (The Penguin and The Lobster) will reprise his role as John Sugar, a private investigator in Sugar Season 2. In this season, he will continue to look for his missing sister. His upcoming case will involve looking for the missing brother of a local boxer. However, the case, which begins as a missing persons investigation, will turn into a conspiracy in the city. The trailer shows Sugar getting back to investigative work after he finds himself quite lonely in the city.

Dennis Boutsikaris as Bernie Siegel

As per the trailer, Dennis Boutsikaris (Mayfair Witches and Better Call Saul) returns as Bernie Siegel in Sugar Season 2. Music producer Jonathan's son, and Olivia's father, Bernie, seems to help Sugar in the investigation with some pivotal information.

Jin Ha

Jin Ha is known for his roles in Pachinko and Civil War. As per Deadline, Ha will play the role of a local boxer who gets entangled in a complex situation during a fight. When his brother goes missing, he takes Sugar's help to find him. Ha's character name remains under wraps as of now.

Tony Dalton as Lieutenant Vega

Tony Dalton (Better Call Saul) will play Lieutenant Vega of the LA County Sheriff's Department in Sugar Season 2. Not much is revealed about Dalton's character, but it seems like he might be a hurdle in Sugar's investigation. He seems to threaten Sugar during an interrogation. The trailer reveals that Lieutenant Vega knows much more than he is trying to reveal.

Laura Donnelly as Charlotte

Laura Donnelly, known for her work in projects like The Nevers and Say Nothing, will play the role of a woman who will remain unaffected by Sugar's charms. As per recently released images via Apple TV, Donnelly's character seems to be on a date with our extraterrestrial private investigator. She seems to be a charismatic and mysterious woman.

Raymond Lee as the local boxer's elder brother

Raymond Lee (Top Gun: Maverick and Quantum Leap) will play the local boxer's (Jin Ha) older brother, who goes missing. Sugar is on a mission to find him. It seems like he's running from something and does not want to be found.
