Tae-ju is running out of time in The Husband Episode 3 

The Husband Episode 3 sheds light on the distinct relationship that Tae-ju has with Se-yun and the heartbreaking moment that changed their dynamic. The beginning of the episode starts with a heartwarming moment depicting Tae-ju and Se-yun’s marriage.

However, things quickly take a turn for the two of them. This episode also depicts the dangerous path that Tae-ju has to traverse so that he can fix things on time. He is running out of time.

Tae-ju is running out of time in The Husband Episode 3

The Husband Episode 3 starts with snippets of Tae-ju’s marriage with Se-yun. Both Se-yun and Tae-ju are shown to be extremely happy with their marriage. The very next moment, Se-yun waits at the hospital while their daughter fights for her death is shown. It is depicted that the death of Se-yun and Tae-ju’s daughter, Hayun, became a propelling factor in bringing a drastic change in their relationship.

Se-yun blamed Tae-ju for the death of their daughter, as he was not present in the operating theater despite Se-yun calling her multiple times. Tae-ju was not able to show up when his wife and daughter needed him the most. The Husband Episode 3 brings the viewers back to the present day, where Tae-ju is being questioned by the police.

The police think that Tae-ju is the one who has kidnapped Se-yun. Though Tae-ju tries his best to tell the police that they are wasting their time questioning him while they could search for Se-yun, the police are not eager to listen to him. While Tae-ju is taken to the washroom, the lights at the police station begin to flicker, and soon the power turns off. Right at that moment, Tae-ju is warned by a man that if he is not able to reach a particular location by 11 pm, he will not be able to save his wife.

When Tae-ju asks about the identity of the man, he tells him that he is the only person who knows that Tae-ju is innocent. Tae-ju understands what he has to do to save Se-yun. On the other hand, Se-yun regains consciousness and finds herself chained. She understands the situation she is in. She notices that she does not have much time while looking at the hourglass. Soon, the kidnapper arrives with a pain relief cream and gives it to her.

He also tells her that she does not have much time before her death, which frustrates Se-yun. Back at the station, Tae-ju’s mother and brother rush to the station after learning about Tae-ju’s arrest. They try to reason with the officers, but it does not help. They find Se-yun’s parents waiting at the station. Se-yun’s parents, especially her father, believe that Tae-ju is the culprit in their daughter’s kidnapping, as they have also seen the video.

The Husband Episode 3 continues with Tae-ju getting further questioned about the bloodied sweater that they found in Tae-ju’s car. Tae-ju remembers how the kidnapper put the sweater in his car and also removed the memory card of the black box from his car. As he notices his watch getting closer to 11 PM, he becomes restless. Right at that moment, the station faces another power outage. Tae-ju uses this opportunity to slip out of the questioning room to escape.

Soon, the police officers begin to chase him; however, he somehow manages to escape through a window. He arrives at the hospital and takes some of his belongings with him, while also taking some medications and sharp tools in a bag. Before he is able to make it outside, he comes across his colleague. His colleague, who is completely unaware of Tae-ju being a suspect, almost gives his car keys when Tae-ju asks for them. Right at that moment, Tae-ju’s colleague gets a call from Se-yun’s parents, warning him about Tae-ju.

Tae-ju understands that he is in danger once again, uses his bag to hit his colleague, and escapes, taking the car keys. The Husband Episode 3 continues with Tae-ju almost being able to escape with the car when the hospital security guard catches him. Tae-ju attacks him with a spray and finally manages to get out of the parking lot to reach the location he was informed about by the man.

On the other hand, the police are also able to find Tae-ju’s location and begin to search for him. While rushing to the location, Tae-ju makes one last call to his brother, informing him about the situation, and then throws his phone out. Soon, an intense car chase starts with the police almost being able to catch Tae-ju. Tae-ju used his driving skills to take sharp turns and managed to get ahead of the police cars. However, with so many cars chasing it, it becomes difficult as he eventually gets into an accident, causing his car to stop.

The Husband Episode 3 ends with Se-yun deciding to take matters into her own hands. She uses the pain relief cream and applies it to her feet to free herself from the shackles that were connected to a heavy weight. She then uses a long wire and ties it to the weight from the roof so that she can use it to open the door.

The stage is now set with a layer of uncertainty, leaving the viewers with the questions of whether Tae-ju will be able to reach the location on time and whether Se-yun’s plan to escape will actually work. Further details of the kidnapper are also revealed as it is shown that he takes computer classes for children and is known as Mr. Noh. On the surface, Mr. Noh seems to be the complete opposite of a dangerous criminal who has captured Se-yun.
