Strecker appeared in the 3-season reality show Vanderpump Villa several times after maintaining years of friendship with Stassi Schroeder. After that, she officially joined Schroeder's new project House of Stassi.

She shared with US Magazine that her involvement with reality TV began well before she ever appeared in front of the camera. Before the premiere of the show, she proudly said,

"Now that I’m on House of Stassi, this is where I was meant to be."

Strecker meant that she felt a sense of belonging after becoming an important part of the reality show. The radio veteran noted that she considers the platform as the right place for her career and personality.

Taylor wanted to prove that joining the show is not just another step, but a natural point towards which her journey was supposed to lead. She also implied that the prospect she received from Schroeder is not temporary or random, but instead feels like destiny and the proper continuation of her path while moving forward.

In her interview with US Magazine, Taylor opened up about her audition story in The Real Housewives of New Jersey before joining Schroeder's House of Stassi. Strecker mentioned,

"I will say that with Real Housewives of New Jersey, I did audition, but I didn’t go to a casting call. Margaret Josephs recommended me for it because we’re friends and I live in Jersey. That kind of just came about that way, but it was a four-hour interview."

The former radio host further revealed that she was ghosted after the audition. She explained that nearly 10 or 15 years back, she along with the executive producer of Vanderpump Rules Erin Foye had planned to work together on a sizzle project named Radio in the City. The project was meant to highlight her friendship with the co-host of The Morning Mash Up, Nicole Ryan.

However, the project was never selected. Strecker further explained that nothing meaningful came out of it and the concept did not move beyond early discussions. She emotionally shared that she had been working for opportunities like this for a long time, and now after two decades, her dream of working in a reality TV show has finally come true.
