Apple TV's Emmy-winning sports comedy drama, Ted Lasso, is coming back for a new season. Ted Lasso Season 4 is all set to officially premiere on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, on Apple TV.

In March 2025, the show was officially renewed for a fourth season. Developed by Jason Sudeikis, Joe Kelly, Brendan Hunt, and Bill Lawrence, the show follows Ted Lasso, an American football coach who gets hired by an English Premier League team, A.F.C Richmond, whose owner, Rebecca Walton, secretly hopes that Ted's inexperience would lead to the team's failure. However, Ted's leadership leads the team to an unexpected success.

In Season 4, Ted Lasso returns to Richmond this year to coach a second-division women's football team called the Lady Greyhounds. Despite several hurdles preventing them from achieving success, the team has high spirits and hopes.

Season 4 will officially premiere on August 5, 2026. However, according to Apple's regular release format, new episodes usually drop the night before their premiere dates. Thus, Ted Lasso Season 4 Episode 1, titled Home, is expected to drop on August 4, 2026, at 9 PM ET on Apple TV.

Season 4 will have 10 episodes in total, similar to Season 1. New episodes will release every Wednesday on Apple TV until the season finale, which is scheduled for October 7, 2026.

To watch the series, viewers will need an Apple TV subscription. Plans start from as low as $12.99/month. A seven-day free trial for new users is also available. Several fan favourites, including Sudeikis as the titular lead, Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins, Bret Goldstein as Roy Kent and Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, are set to reprise their roles in the new season. However, Dani Rojas, Jamie Tartt, and Sam Ibisanya will not be returning.

This season is set to bring in new faces, which include Tanya Reynolds, who is set to play Lady Greyhounds' co-coach Alice Chilton; Jude Mack as Boot; Faye Marsay as Lizzie; Rex Hayes as Siobhan; Aisling Sharkley as Niamh; and Abbie Hern and Gemma. Other new members are Annelise Heywood as Maddy, Mercedes Assad as Margy, Shannon Hayes as Shannon, and Grant Feely as Henry, Ted's son, to name a few.

In Season 4, Ted is returning to Richmond, but this time not to coach a men's league team but a women's second division team, the Lady Greyhounds. The trailer gives the viewers a sneak peek into the challenges the team faces, such as having fewer facilities than their male counterparts, low media coverage, and fewer sponsorship deals. The trailer features Ted's emotional reunion with Roy. Meanwhile, the viewers get a glimpse of Coach Alice Chilton and the team practicing on the pitch.

The upcoming season was mainly filmed in London, Missouri, and Kansas City. Principal photography began on July 21, 2025. Following the series debut, this comedy sports drama broke all records and garnered massive praise from fans and critics globally. Season 1 became the most Emmy nominated series comedy series. All three seasons are available to stream on Apple TV.
