"The 118 faces an earth-shattering emergency that shakes the city of Los Angeles to its core. Still finding her footing as a detective, Athena leans on instinct to crack a mysterious new case, while May finds her own confidence in a new job."

Here is the complete cast.

9-1-1 Season 10 cast: Here are the returning main stars

Angela Bassett is the first returning star in the 9-1-1 Season 10 cast as Athena Grant, an LAPD Detective. As with 9-1-1 tradition, the premiere emergency will put Athena directly in harm's way. As the trailer hinted, Athena will be trapped in an underground hole while helping somebody, moments before a volcano erupts in LA. The 118 will naturally band together to rescue Athena.

Here's the complete main cast for 9-1-1 Season 10:

1) Kenneth Choi as Howard "Chimney" Han: With LA getting buried under a bed of lava, the 118 will be called for rescue and Captain Chimney will take charge. After Bobby's death, Chimney took leadership of the firehouse and the upcoming season will naturally test his capabilities as a Captain. It will be interesting to see how Chimney navigates the upcoming emergency while keeping his squad safe.

2) Oliver Stark as Evan "Buck" Buckley: Oliver Stark is the next returning star in the 9-1-1 Season 10 cast. The recently released trailer offered glimpses of Buck in the middle of the emergency. As one of the best firefighters in 118, Buck will be tasked with helping the city and controlling the emergency.

3) Aisha Hinds as Henrietta "Hen" Wilson: The previous season featured a brutal health scare for Hen and she even took a sabbatical from work. But Season 10 will mark Hen's return, amid a harrowing emergency. Hinds' character will pull off double duty in the upcoming season, as she will also have to find her best friend, Athena.

4) Ryan Guzman as Edmundo "Eddie" Díaz: Another fan-favorite character returning in Season 10 of 9-1-1 is Eddie. After much hardship, Eddie finally returned to the 118 in the previous season. A scene from the trailer features Eddie rescuing a dog while the floor is turned into lava. It looks like Eddie will continue to battle personal and professional challenges in the upcoming season.

5) Jennifer Love Hewitt as Maddie Buckley: Lastly, 9-1-1 Season 10 marks the return of Hewitt as 911 dispatcher Maddie. With no established protocol for a volcanic eruption, Maddie and her team will have to rely on their experience and skills to handle the emergency.

Meet the supporting cast in 9-1-1 Season 10

In addition to the returning main cast, Season 10 will also feature the supporting cast of Corinne Massiah as Athena's daughter May Grant, Elijah M. Cooper as Athena's son Harry Grant and Anirudh Pisharody as firefighter Ravi.

The upcoming season marks a new chapter in the lives of Athena's children. While May will begin working at the hospital, Harry will continue to work with the 118 as a firefighter. The trailer hints that May and Harry will work tirelessly to find their missing mother. While May coordinates with Maddie on the phone, Harry will use his role as a firefighter to rescue Athena.
