The Forsytes: Release date news, cast details, streaming details and more about PBS's period family drama 

The Forsytes, starring Danny Griffin and Joshua Orphin, is heading to PBS Masterpiece this March. The six-part period drama is set to drop on Sunday, March 22, 2026, on PBS Masterpiece. New episodes will drop on Sundays at 9 PM ET.

Written by Debbie Horsfield, the show is inspired by John Galsworthy's The Forsyte Saga. The show, however, is set in the late Victorian period and follows the events preceding the novel. It originally debuted on Channel 5 in the UK in October 2025. A second season is in development.

The series follows the lives of the members titular uber-rich stockbrokers' family led by the matriarch Ann (Francesca Annis). Ann's eldest son, Jolyon Sr. (Stephen Moyer), heads the family firm, but he wishes to pass his position to his son Jo. However, the contenders for the position are the Frostyes cousins, Jolyon Sr.'s son, Jo (Danny Griffin), and James' son, Soames. However, it isn't as easy as it seems. When love comes knocking at their doorsteps, they need to choose between power and their heartfelt desires. Will their aim for power or the sacrifice for love win?

The series taps into the elements of generational clash, romance, betrayal, secrets, power, and sacrifice.

The Forsytes is set to drop on Sunday, March 22, 2026, on PBS Masterpiece. It will air at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT in the U.S. Fresh episodes will drop every Sunday.
