The Four Seasons' Will Forte says it was "an honor" to reunite with Tina Fey, speaks highly of her comedy streak

The Four Seasons has become a series that brought back former co-stars Will Forte and Tina Fey together. The two worked on Saturday Night Live and this time, they're sharing the screen in a very different kind of relationship.

Forte takes on the role of Jack, the husband of Fey’s character Kate, in the Netflix comedy-drama. While returning to work with someone he has known for years could feel familiar, Forte admits there was still a little pressure to get things right.

Still, his feelings about the reunion are clear. Forte says working with Fey is a great experience and considers getting the chance to play her husband a real honor. The actor said (via People Magazine):

"So, not only is she maybe the best there ever has been at comedy writing... So to be a part of that in any way is exciting, but to have the honor of actually playing her husband in something? Wow. I mean, what, what an honor."

Apart from their friendship, Forte also respects the Fey’s work behind the scenes. He mentioned her comedy writing and even highlighted the team the actress has built around her.

As previously explained, The Four Seasons has marked the reunion between Tin Fey and Will Forte. The two stars have known each other for years as their bond goes back to their time on Saturday Night Live, where they worked together from 2002 to 2006.

At that time, Fey served as the show's head writer. Forte later crossed paths with her again through 30 Rock, making several guest appearances on the comedy. However, their latest collaboration gives the two a much closer on-screen connection as Forte is playing the husband of Fey's character.

Even with their long history, Forte says working with someone you know does not completely take away the nerves. He still wanted to make sure he did a good job, but knowing Fey for so long also made the experience feel more comfortable.

That familiarity made the opportunity even more special for Forte. He described getting to play Fey's husband as an honor. In The Four Seasons, their characters are part of a close group of couples whose relationship changes when one of the pair decides to part ways and the remaining friends move forward with a vacation together.
