The Season 1 finale of The Gentlemen concluded with Eddie Horniman fully stepping into the criminal underworld. Bobby Glass told his daughters, Susie and Eddie, that he wanted to sell his marijuana empire for £150 million. He instructed them to collect bids from Uncle Stan, Sticky Pete, and Mercy. Bobby's daughters turned the auction into a deadly plan to eliminate every threat.
The ending also showed Stan being declared the winner only for his tax records to be leaked, which later led to his arrest for tax evasion. Meanwhile, both Mercy and Sticky were told that Pete had won, due to which the news sparked Mercy's rage and urged her to kill Pete with a machete. Ultimately, Susie and Eddie hired the gangster Henry Collins to execute Mercy.
Guy Ritchie revealed that The Gentlemen Season 2 will present a planned expansion in both scope and setting of the plot. While the story began in the English countryside, Season 2 will unfold beyond the English countryside by shifting operation abroad with the Italian lakes serving as the new backdrop.
