When Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen was first released on Netflix, Edward Horniman, aka Eddie, was a duke who was reluctant to join the criminal empire his father ran secretly. As we head into Season 2, we will now see Eddie as someone who has embraced the life of crime and is ambitious about it. The Gentlemen Season 3 has also been greenlit by Netflix ahead of Season 2's September 3, 2026, release. The Gentlemen Season 2 trailer takes us to Italy as Eddie embraces his criminal self The Gentlemen Season 2 trailer opens with a much more confident, determined, and ambitious Eddie (played by Theo James). We see him tell Geoffrey (played by Vinnie Jones), "Four hundred years ago, this estate spread out as far as the eye could see. I want it all back."In Season 2, Eddie is going to be ambitious about not only his criminal empire but also his life as an aristocrat. The upcoming season is set a year after the final events of Season 1, and while Eddie is working under Bobby Glass (played by Ray Winstone), he has his own plans and won't let Bobby walk all over him. As the Season 2 trailer shows us, Eddie and Susie (played by Kaya Scodelario) will be shifting base to Italy. Cico Maldini, a fixer, is going to help them find their footing in Italy, but Italian crime boss Marco Moretti will not make it easy for Eddie and Susie to run their business smoothly. Eddie will also try to decriminalize marijuana in England, which is evidently a difficult path to walk on. Matthew Read, writer and executive producer of the show, spoke to Tudum by Netflix about Season 2, saying,“Season 2 was always going to be about Eddie expanding the reach of his criminal empire and testing the relationship Eddie has with Bobby Glass as the person he’s working under.”We will also see Susie's and Eddie's relationship evolve. They share a unique bond and understand each other in a way that is crucial for running a criminal empire. However, with Bobby Glass making questionable choices and Eddie developing his own ideas, Eddie and Susie's relationship will go through quite some changes. New cast members joining the show are Hugh Bonneville as Lord Hawthorne, Benjamin Clementine as Nanny, Benedetta Porcaroli as Bella, Michele Morrone as Cico Maldini, and Sergio Castellitto as Marco Moretti. Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti, Chris Eubank Jr., and Maya Jama also star in undisclosed roles. The Gentlemen Season 3 has been confirmed by NetflixNetflix announced that The Gentlemen has been renewed for Season 3 ahead of the Season 2 release. A specific story or release date is yet to be revealed.
