The Hunting Wives is soon returning for Season 2 in November 2026, and Netflix has officially confirmed that the show will be returning for Season 3 as well. Season 1 ended by revealing Margo to be Abby's killer. The season finale also showed us Sophie killing Margo's brother in self-defense and then dumping his body in a lake.

Margo might just figure out what Sophie did because when she called Kyle at the end of the season finale, it was Sophie who answered the phone. Season 2 will reveal what happens next, and now Season 3 has been confirmed as well.

The Hunting Wives Season 3 gets confirmed ahead of Season 2 premiere

The Hunting Wives Season 1 was based on the novel of the same name by May Cobb. But in Season 2, The Hunting Wives will follow an entirely original storyline created by showrunner Rebecca Cutter. The same applies for Season 3, which Netflix has just greenlit.

According to Tudum by Netflix, creator and showrunner of the show, Rebecca Cutter, said that she and the cast are extremely excited for Season 3 and that she's really proud of the scripts that they are currently developing. Cutter revealed that the stakes are going to be much bigger in The Hunting Wives Season 3.

Rebecca Cutter also teased:

"I'm so stoked to be heading back to Maple Brook, and I promise that once you've finished Season 2, you'll be desperate to see what happens next. Buckle up, because Season 3 will be even more scandalous and twisted.”

While not much about Season 3 has been revealed, leading cast members Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman, who play Sophie and Margo, respectively, have spoken about their characters' trajectory in The Hunting Wives Season 2. Snow said:

“In Season 1, Sophie is really having a lot of caged anger... You see the unraveling of a woman who was very caged for a couple of years of her life, tried to be the perfect mother, perfect wife, and was not being true to herself.”

According to Season 2's logline, Sophie and Margo are estranged after the final events of Season 1. The upcoming season will also be set after a time jump. While Sophie and Margo aren't close anymore, the mysteries of their town will force them to approach each other again.

Speaking about her role in Season 2, Akerman said:

“Coming back to her in Season 2, it was actually a lot easier because we had a whole season to figure out who these characters were, move through their backstory, and figure out how they tick... Getting back into her was so much fun … with my new wig.”

Besides Snow and Akerman, The Hunting Wives Season 2 will feature returning cast members Dermot Mulroney as Jed Banks, Jaime Ray Newman as Callie, Evan Jonigkeit as Graham O’Neil, and George Ferrier as Brad, among others.

New cast members joining the show are John Stamos as Chase Brylan, Dale Dickey as Zelda Moffitt, Kim Matula as Nadia Kelly, Cam Gigandet as Gentle John Moffitt, Alex FitzAlan as Lincoln Trout, and Angel Reese as Trainer Barbie.

New cast details for Season 3 are expected to be revealed later, perhaps after Season 2 has been released. The Hunting Wives Season 2 will be released on Netflix on November 26, 2026. A release date for Season 3 is yet to be confirmed. Season 1 is streaming on Netflix.
