The Husband Episode 4 turns its calmest character into a nightmare

The Husband Episode 4 continues right where the previous episode left off. Tae-ju’s desperation to save Se-yun. At the end of the previous episode, he came across a man who informed him to arrive at a location so that he could save Se-yun. To make sure that his wife is safe, Tae-ju rushes to the location and even gets chased by an array of police.

At the very end of the previous episode, Tae-ju comes across an accident when his car crashes into a police car, leaving the viewers eager to know about his situation.

The Husband Episode 4 turns its calmest character into a nightmare

The Husband Episode 4 starts with the police authorities thinking that Tae-ju is inside the car. However, the moment they arrive to check the car, they find that Tae-ju has escaped. Tae-ju tries his best to escape but comes across another police car. To hide from the police, he enters a building while being chased by the police. He somehow manages to escape from the police, but not before coming face to face with an officer who tries to arrest him.

Tae-ju manages to bring him down, but being a doctor, he could not run away, leaving the police officer in pain. He gives first aid to the police and even calls an ambulance for himself before escaping from the location to catch the train. The Husband Episode 4 continues with Tae-ju reaching the location just as the man had informed him about. The man comes out of the shadows and takes him to a room.

He then tells Tae-ju that he will have to find his wife on his own. Tae-ju gets suspicious and points his gun at the man. However, the man skillfully distracts Tae-ju and disarms him. However, Tae-ju does not stand down. He uses one of the injections he stole from the hospital and injects the man. He then notices that the room's wall is filled with pictures of him and his wife, indicating that the man has been monitoring their case.

When Tae-ju looks through the man’s room, he finds the ID of the man. His name is Lee Suhyeong, and he worked at the National Police Agency. The man also told Tae-ju that he would make Tae-ju his bait so that he is able to kill the culprit. Tae-ju initially thought that this man would lead him to Se-yun. Things take a turn when the man begins to reveal his story and how the same man who has taken Se-yun killed his wife a few years back.

Lee Suhyeong tells Tae-ju that one day he received a call from his wife, which was actually Mr. Noh telling him that if he does not bring money, his wife will be killed. Despite being a police officer, Suhyeong chose to follow the orders of Mr. Noh in order to save his wife. However, when he reached the location to hand over the money, Mr. Noh asked Suhyeong to give him a larger sum of money in exchange for his wife, as he did not know that Suhyeong loved his wife that much.

Suhyeong agreed to the larger sum of money once again. However, when Suhyeong reached the location for the drop-off, Mr. Noh did not give his wife back but rather asked him about his mistakes. Later, Suhyeong found his wife’s dead body. Since then, he has been searching for Mr. Noh only to get a lead through Tae-ju’s case after years.

He is now adamant about bringing the man down and also informs Tae-ju that his wife does not have much time, as the victims often end up dead soon. He also gives Tae-ju the internal files of his wife’s case and another case in which Mr. Noh is also involved. The Husband Episode 4 continues with Suhyeong telling Tae-ju that they will have to lure Mr. Noh out to save his wife. Tae-ju reaches Se-yun’s parents’ house and threatens them with a gun.

Tae-ju and Suhyeong’s plan is to make it to the news so that Mr. Noh takes the bait. Tae-ju takes money from Se-yun’s parents' house and leaves. Soon, the news about Tae-ju’s actions reaches the news and Mr. Noh as well. On the other hand, Se-yun’s plan to escape Mr. Noh fails miserably. At the end of the previous episode, Se-yun used the weight and angled it so that it could be used to break the door. In this episode, Se-yun manages to break down the door and escape.

However, instead of escaping by herself, she decides to help the woman locked in the next cell as well. By the time Se-yun finds the key to the cell. Mr. Noh had already arrived after seeing her actions through the CCTV camera. He struck Se-yun in the head and even tied up her hands this time. When Se-yun wakes up, she hears Mr. Noh coming to the next cell with a huge object and uses it to kill the woman.

She is completely devastated and begs Mr. Noh to stop. At the end of The Husband Episode 4, Mr. Noh arrives at Se-yun’s cell to give her some food and returns to his surveillance room, where he gets a shocking surprise. He finds that one of his surveillance cameras has picked up motion and switches it on to show Tae-ju looming over the camera, looking directly at Mr. Noh through it.
