The Husband Episode 8 uncovers a horrifying medical conspiracy; recap below
The Husband Episode 8 starts with a flashback scene of Se-yun bringing Tae-ju to meet her parents to get their approval for their relationship. Right after Tae-ju’s arrival, Se-yun’s father, Mr. Ko, starts to behave arrogantly. He begins to question Tae-ju about his family and their economic situation, which creates an uncomfortable situation for both Se-yun and Tae-ju.

However, Tae-ju answers truthfully. Se-yun also warns her father to be easy on Tae-ju. Eventually, Se-yun’s father gives his approval for their relationship. The Husband Episode 8 continues with another flashback of Tae-ju. This moment shows Tae-ju successfully helping his patient to regain his ability to move his legs.
Seeing his patient’s happy reaction satisfies Tae-ju immensely, and he starts to believe that he is also able to make a change in people’s lives through his skills as a surgeon.

Things take a turn when, during a separate operation, Tae-ju gets suspicious of the scaffold that is being used for his patient, Park Dohyeon. He rechecks the name to make sure; however, his suspicions keep building. After the operation, he begins to go through the database to check the details of the scaffold and understands that there is a discrepancy. While going through the medical storage, he hears Dr. Ha Jeongsoo and his father-in-law, Dr. Ko Dongchan, entering the room as well.

He hides and begins to hear them as they discuss how he rechecked the label of the scaffold during the operation that day. He then comes out and confronts them when he hears Dr. Ko Dongchan talk about a VIP patient at their hospital who will have his treatment the next day. It is revealed that Dr. Ko Dongchan was using the fetal stem cells, which were harvested from an aborted fetus, so that the success rate of the operation would increase.

Tae-ju is completely baffled at the whole situation, as it is illegal. The Husband Episode 8 continues with the present day. Tae-ju is finally released from the holding cell after Se-yun calls an attorney to represent him in the case. Though the case is going to be a difficult one for Tae-ju, Se-yun has provided a letter for leniency in the case, which will help him. He then leaves the police station and tells the police not to create any disruption in his path.
He arrives at the hospital and finds that Dr. Ha Jeongsoo is trying to kill Noh Man-hee’s wife, Gyeong-ae. He confronts him for his actions, but Ha Jeongsoo runs away. Tae-ju slowly begins to understand that Dr. Ko Dongchan is involved in the whole situation, as Gyeong-ae also received treatment from Ha Jeongsoo previously at that hospital. He begins to remember how Dr. Ko Dongchan asked him to kill Gyeong-ae during the surgery in the previous episode through his implications.
Tae-ju decides to get to the bottom of this whole conspiracy and unfold the truth. The Husband Episode 8 continues with Se-yun at her parents’ house. She ponders the video that Mr. Noh Man-hee showed her, wondering about Tae-ju’s involvement in the whole situation. Right at that moment, she hears her father, Dr. Ko Dongchan, angrily speak to someone and rush out. Se-yun follows and finds Tae-ju’s car waiting outside.

Tae-ju also watches Se-yun but does not come outside his car to speak to her and drives out following Dr. Ko. It can be understood that though the relationship between Tae-ju and Se-yun has been impacted, they still care about one another deeply. It will be intriguing to see whether Tae-ju will follow his mother’s advice to sort things out with Se-yun as quickly as possible or wait to discuss the whole situation after his mission to unfold the conspiracy at the hospital is complete.
On the other hand, Man-hee gets more and more restless as he hears the news about his criminal actions. While he rushes out of the house, the cupboard opens, and a hand falls out, further raising the stakes. The police also continue with their investigation. They find the phone, which Gyeong-ae tried to hide, and also the blood splattered in the rooms where Man-hee kept Se-yun.
It is also revealed that Dr. Ko was eager to let Tae-ju know about the project of using fetal stem cells illegally, as he thought he would also be a part of it. However, Tae-ju’s refusal of the proposition created a complication for him. The Husband Episode 8 continues with Man-hee waiting at the house of the old woman from whose restaurant he used to eat. The old woman’s granddaughter, who is also a nurse at Tae-ju’s hospital where Gyeong-ae is now present, arrives.

Man-hee threatens her to follow his orders in exchange for her grandmother’s safety. She gives him the information about Tae-ju’s arrival at Gyeong-ae’s room after the surgery, which further worries Man-hee.
At the end of The Husband Episode 8, Dr. Ko arrives at the hospital to meet Dr. Ha Jeongsoo and finds Tae-ju instead. Tae-ju confronts him about the whole situation, and it is revealed that Dr. Ko knew Gyeong-ae all along. While Tae-ju was about to start operating on Gyeong-ae, she revealed that Dr. Ko was extending his own lifespan by using unborn babies.

Dr. Ko then tells Tae-ju to ask Gyeong-ae or Dr. Ha about the truth and leaves angrily. Tae-ju also begins to follow him to the parking lot, where he calls Dr. Ha Jeongsoo and hears his phone ringing.
He follows the sound and opens a door, only to find Ha Jeongsoo lying on the floor with an injection of potassium chloride beside him. The stage is now set for yet another mystery to be unfolded. Though Tae-ju gets closer to the truth, he is also now in deeper trouble.
