The Last of Us Season 3, which is presumably going to be the show's last season, has added 3 new cast members to the show ahead of the new season. The upcoming season will adapt the second half of The Last of Us Part II and is expected to feature the last showdown between Abby and Ellie.
While returning stars like Kaitlyn Dever, Bella Ramsey, and Isabela Merced, among others, will reprise their roles for Season 3, John Goodman, Ian Alexander, and Laura Bailey have been cast in new roles.
New cast members of The Last of Us Season 3
The Last of Us Season 3 will show us the 3 days Abby spent in Seattle with Manny, Owen, Mel, and Nora. It will also reveal what happened after we heard a gunshot at the end of Season 2. A few new cast members were previously announced to have been added to the show's cast for Season 3, and now, 3 more have been announced.
John Goodman and Ian Alexander have been cast as Joey and Paco, respectively. Their characters are created for the series, and the duo calls themselves Heroes of the Highway. Goodman is well-known for his roles in The Big Lebowski, The Hangover Part III, Evan Almighty, and The Righteous Gemstones, among others. We're also going to see him in Digger in October 2026.
Ian Alexander, who previously voiced Lev in The Last of Us Part II, will be playing Paco in Season 3 of the series. Alexander is also known for his roles in Star Trek: Discovery, Daughter, and The OA.
Laura Bailey, a voice actor who has previously voiced Abby in The Last of Us Part II, is going to play Elizabeth in The Last of Us Season 3. Elizabeth is a leader of the Seraphites, a religious sect. Bailey is also known for her vast number of voice roles in projects such as Dragon Ball Z, Critical Role, Valkyria Chronicles, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, among others.
Other new cast members joining the show for Season 3 are Peter Sarsgaard as Amon, Patrick Wilson as Jerry, Jason Ritter as Hanley, Michelle Mao as Yara, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. as Manny, and Kyriana Kratter as Lev. Clea Duvall and Li Jun Li will play Seraphite members whose names are yet to be revealed.
The Last of Us Season 3 is expected to premiere on HBO in 2027.
