Following the success of Season 1, The Other Bennet Sister is all set to return to our screens. And to make it even more interesting, fans are getting a three-part Christmas special. The period drama follows Janice Hadlow's novel and focuses on the often-overlooked sister from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

Ella Bruccoleri returns, with Dónal Finn as Tom Hayward, as the new episodes follow their lives after getting married. Some familiar faces from the first season will be returning, and a new cast member will be joining Mary’s household.

The special was announced in June 2026. Additionally, it was mostly filmed in Wales in the summer, and production wrapped up in early September. It is expected to air during the 2026 festive period on BBC One and iPlayer in the UK, and BritBox in the US and Canada.

With key figures making their way back to The Other Bennet Sister Christmas special, there are other stars who have been added as new cast members. At the same time, some actors might not return as they aren't listed for the new chapter.

Nerys Amber Stocks (Out There and Mammoth) will be seen playing Lucy, Mary's housemaid. This means that the actress is bringing a new character into Mary's household.

A few familiar faces from The Other Bennet Sister Season 1 have not been named among the returning cast so far. Richard E. Grant, who played Mr. Bennet, is one of them. His name doesn't appear in the returning figures for the Christmas special.

Indira Varma and Richard Coyle, who played Mrs. Gardiner and Mr. Gardiner, are also missing from the current list. Ryan Sampson, who played Mr. Collins, has not been announced as a returning cast member either.
