Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) and his Slough House agents will return in Slow Horses Season 6. The upcoming season of Apple TV's Emmy-winning spy thriller series is based on Mick Herron's novels Joe Country and Slough House, and will debut on the platform on September 16.

With another dangerous mission on the horizon, Slow Horses Season 6 is bringing back the familiar faces of Slough House alongside a few new players who could shake up the spy thriller’s already chaotic world.

The upcoming season will follow Jackson Lamb and his team of rejected MI5 Agents as they go on the run when a hit list targeting everyone connected to Slough House triggers a bloody wave of assassinations.

Slow Horses Season 6 cast: Here are the returning main actors

Slough House is setting up again and all the misfits are on the run. Naturally, Gary Oldman's Jackson Lamb is the primary returning star in the Slow Horses Season 6 cast. The rude, unkempt head of Slough House, who disguises his firm loyalty to his agents with his sour wit, is on a personal mission to save his team at any cost. The first official trailer shows Jackson confronting Diana about why his agents keep showing up dead, setting up a dangerous season for the titular agents.

In addition to Gary Oldman, the returning cast for Season 6 includes Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner. The previous season marked a major change for Diana, who became First Desk after Jackson outsmarted and forced Claude Whelan out of his position in MI5. The upcoming season will see Diana embroil Jackson's agents in a high-stakes, deadly game of retaliation and revenge, which will send them on the run.

Jack Lowden will also return as River Cartwright in Slow Horses Season 6. The upcoming season is set to be an exciting entry for one of Jackson's most capable agents. The trailer confirms that the upcoming season will reunite River with Sid, who was presumed dead after Season 1.

Talking about Sid Baker, actress Olivia Cooke will also appear in the upcoming season. While Cooke's Sid Baker was presumed dead in Season 1, Roddy Ho uncovered evidence that suggested she might be alive. With Cooke's presence in the Season 6 trailer, fans and River will finally learn the mystery behind her presumed death.

Rounding out the returning stars for Slow Horses Season 6 are Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, Jonathan Pryce as David Cartwright, Hugo Weaving as Frank Harkness, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy and Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander.

Here are the new additions to the Slow Horses Season 6 cast

A new season means new faces and the Slow Horses Season 6 cast has expanded with many new additions.

Actors Kyle Soller and MyAnna Buring will appear as Joe and Jane, respectively, an assassin couple hunting down the Slough House agents in the upcoming season. Joe and Jane are being positioned as the primary antagonists in Season 6. Soller is best known for playing Syril Karn in Andor and Robert Todd Lincoln in Death by Lightning. Buring is a Swedish-born actress who played Tissaia de Vries in Netflix's The Witcher.

Rounding out the new additions to the Season 6 cast are actors Harry Lloyd (The Fear) as Damien Cantor, a media mogul and news channel owner, Lucian Msamati (Game of Thrones) as Oliver Nash, and Lenny Rush (Am I Being Unreasonable?) as Reece Nesmith, a child witness.
