The teaser of A Bona Fide Killer is already out, and the distinct dual aspect of the storyline is undeniably intriguing. The teaser gives the viewers some of the snippets of the intense nature of the storyline, which is also balanced with the subtle humor that the characters bring forth while navigating through the situations that come their way.

The very talented Gong Hyo-jin takes on the role of Yu Bo Na, whose life takes a turn after she returns to her work after a long maternity leave. Yu Bo Na lives a double life, one that is a complete secret from even her own family. In A Bona Fide Killer, Yo Bo Na’s struggle as she comes across the new challenges after rejoining work will be unveiled. Here are further details of the upcoming Gong Hyo-jin series.

It cannot be denied that TV shows that shed light on the duality of the lives of the main character are not a new storyline; however, A Bona Fide Killer has its own distinctive facets that make it unique. Gong Hyo-jin, in a recent interview, opened up about the reason that makes A Bona Fide Killer unique and “appealing”. She notes that though the focus is on Yu Bo Na’s dual life, the storyline will focus on her “everyday life as a married woman” instead of the cases that she takes on.

Now, Yu Bo Na’s duality comes from being the dangerous sniper, which is completely different from the public life that she leads. Under the facade of a simple working mother, Yu Bo Na works as a sniper, eliminating dangerous criminals from the face of Earth. The criminals that Yu Bo Na targets have evaded punishment from the law; hence, Bo Na comes to the rescue of the victims.

Bo Na always prioritizes the victims, and she does not care about her own safety. She is “stoic,” and no matter how dangerous the situation becomes, she remains “unflappable”. However, the sniper “Kingfisher” personality of Bo Na is completely different from the personality she has while she handles her family life. In front of her family, Bo Na is “friendly”; she is able to maintain a smile no matter how difficult the situation arises in her family life.

These aspects of the storyline of A Bona Fide Killer can be seen in the teaser. The snippets of Bo Na’s life that can be seen in the teaser video depict how contrasting her life is, and yet she handles it in an impeccable manner. However, Bo Na comes across a difficult situation after her husband, who is a journalist, begins to chase a case involving the “Kingfisher”.

The storyline will also shed light on how Bo Na manages to handle these hurdles in her path to establish justice. Gong Hyo-jin also opened up about the similarities between Bo Na and herself, noting that the “flexibility” that Bo Na has is also similar to what she has built through the years as an actress.

Besides A Bona Fide Killer, Gong Hyo-jin has also worked on multiple projects, depicting her sharp acting skills and ability to embody layered characters. Some of her other notable projects that can also be added to your watchlist are When the Camellia Blooms, Don’t Dare to Dream, It’s Okay, That’s Love, The Master’s Sun, The Greatest Love, Pasta, etc.
