The first teaser for The Terminal List Season 2 has been released, giving us a look at what lies next for James Reece. After completing the literal terminal list he made to take revenge, Reece's next step was left uncertain at the end of Season 1.

However, as The Terminal List Season 2 teaser reveals, James Reece will be recruited for a new mission, and while this one might give him a new life, he will fight like he doesn't want one.

The Terminal List Season 2 teaser reveals a new mission and a pardon

The Terminal List Season 2 will adapt Jack Carr's True Believer. The Season 2 teaser opens with James Reece (played by Chris Pratt) clearly struggling. The struggle is partly because he is unable to make peace with his previous actions and kills, and partly because of the malignant brain tumor he has been living with.

We see him on a boat, going almost crazy, seeing double at times, and hallucinating, which are all effects of the tumor. But then, something gives him a purpose. As we hear someone say in The Terminal List Season 2 teaser,

“Before he was a fugitive, James Reece made a career out of putting terrorists in the dirt. He may be exactly what we need for this fight.”

Reece has the grit, courage, and determination very few have and thus is perfect for a new mission, which will have connections to his own family. We then see a new character, Freddy Strain, approach James with the offer of joining this new mission. He tells James that if he joins the mission, the president will pardon all his crimes, giving him a second chance at living a life without the fugitive tag.

The teaser then shows us that since James has a tumor, he will fight as if he has

"one foot in the grave."

While his team doesn't want him to fight like he doesn't want to live, they also need someone who will fight exactly like that. James, who really doesn't care too much if he lives, will do just that.

According to Amazon MGM Studios, in Season 2, James is going to go on a

"journey of violent redemption, finding a new purpose after finishing his list. The psychological revenge thriller of Season 1 opens up into a globe-trotting espionage thriller taking Reece across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. In Season 2, Reece will uncover a conspiracy that reaches from Moscow to Langley and ties into his own family’s history."

Besides Pratt and Luna, The Terminal List Season 2 stars returning cast members, Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq, Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, and Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry.

New cast members joining the show for Season 2 are Martin Sensmeier as Sergeant Major Otatkay, Costa Ronin as Vasili Adrenov, and Shiraz Tzarfati as Tal Varon. Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Arnold Vosloo, Edwin Hodge, and Caitlin Bassett also star in undisclosed roles.

All eight episodes of The Terminal List Season 2 will be released on Prime Video on October 21, 2026.
