No one aseembles a good soundtrack like Netflix does, and so is the case for The Duffer Brothers' latest project The Boroughs. The new supernatural drama premiering today is making its own play for your ears as well as your eyes, and it's a list of some major titles. The show follows a group of retirees in a New Mexico community who band together to confront a sinister, otherworldly force. It's Stranger Things with silver hair and its music, curated by the same person who gave that show its iconic needle drops, hits just as hard.
Before a single line of dialogue lands in the opening episode, the show announces itself with David Bowie's Golden Years. Alfred Molina's character Sam Cooper, a grieving ex-engineer arriving at the sun-drenched titular community, steps out to that disco-funk groove. The soundtrack is rich, relevant and makes the show hit even harder. Here is every song you get to hear on The Boroughs, and who performed them.
