Channel 5's feel-good dramedy, All Creatures Great and Small Season 6, is available on PBS Masterpiece in the U.S. The finale episode, titled 'Comfort and Joy,' aired on Sunday, February 22, at 9 PM ET in the US.

Among other expectations, the viewers were keen to know whether Siegfried would confess his feelings for Mrs. Hall. His emotional confession in All Creatures Great and Small Season 6, Episode 6, that he'd need Mrs. Hall, always teased that they might finally confess their feelings towards each other. However, that did not happen.

Dorothy returned to Darrowby in Episode 7. The old spark reignited between her and Siegfried. By the end of the episode, they confess their feelings towards each other at the Drovers. Mrs. Hall won the dart competition, and when she was looking for Siegfried to celebrate the win with, she saw him cozying up with Dorothy.

She quickly turned around and rejoined the celebrations. Dorothy and Siegfried joined later. It seemed like she felt a bit uncomfortable seeing them together. Here's what Anna Madeley said about Siegfried and Mrs. Hall's complex bond and its future (via Radio Times):

"They are a delightfully complicated scenario. There’s clearly a huge affection, but what journey that affection should take is a big question."

With Dorothy returning to Darrowby and Mrs. Hall planning to leave for Sunderland, the chances for their confession remain bleak, but never say never. Here's more about it.

All Creatures Great and Small Season 6: Anna Madeley on Siegfried and Mrs. Hall's complex relationship and its future

Siegfried Farnon and Mrs. Hall have a complex bond in All Creatures Great and Small Season 6. Mrs. Hall isn't just the housekeeper of Skeldale House; she's Siegfried's closest friend. They understand each other too well. In Season 6's premiere episode, Siegfried and Skeldale House were a total mess.

Tristan and James were able to convince Mrs. Hall to return. But when she did, Siegfried undervalued her and behaved in an awkward, nonchalant manner. Mrs. Hall was ready to leave, but Siegfried stopped her from boarding the train. He said that he behaved in that manner because he feared losing her.

In Episode 6 of All Creatures Great and Small Season 6, Siegfried took Mrs. Hall's help to initiate a conversation with Tristan, who isolated himself due to his war trauma. Mrs. Hall makes Tristan understand why he needs to share his grief with his brother and leaves them to speak in private. Siegfried thanks Mrs. Hall and says,

"I'll always need you Mrs. Hall."

This made the viewers hopeful, but Dorothy's return twisted things. Dorothy reconnected with Siegfried. Siegfried did have bottled-up feelings for Dorothy. By the end of the episode, they reunited.

In a candid chat with Radio Times, when Anna Madeley was asked about the future of a potential romantic bond between Siegfried and Mrs. Hall, she said:

"I think it's a big journey to go on," she said. "You've got big differences in background, and also Mrs Hall does work for Mr Farnon, so it would be a huge adjustment. And in that society, it would be quite a big deal. It was a big deal for Mrs Hall to get divorced."

She continued,

"I think they would think about relationships in a slightly different way than when they were 18 or 19."

Madeley didn't brush off the chances of a potential romance between Siegfried and Mrs. Hall. However, to know what happens next, we'll have to wait for the next season.
