It seems that VisionQuest has replaced Lanterns as the live-action superhero adaptation that continues to be discussed weekly. Viewers and fans continue to watch the series to decode all the secret easter eggs and references to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. The solo Vision series has been marketed as the concluding chapter of the WandaVision trilogy.

Two days ago, an Instagram user posted a close-up of Tommy's jacket, which has a pin on it. It is not the pin that's important, but rather the symbol on the pin that makes it a subtle Easter egg, which ties VisionQuest to the two entries in the trilogy.

Tommy's jacket pin in VisionQuest is a shout-out to the WandaVision Trilogy:

The Instagram user posted an image from Agatha All Along and VisionQuest side-by-side. The image from the Vision series is a zoomed-in shot of Tommy's jacket showing the decorative pin. The emblem on Tommy's pin is the same one we observed on Agatha's brooch in WandaVision and Agatha All Along.

For those who remember, Agatha All Along even revealed that the emblem of three female silhouettes symbolizes Maiden, Mother, and Crone. The two-year-old MCU series even revealed a tragic backstory for the brooch, which symbolizes Agatha's journey through life in the MCU. The most tragic portion is Agatha losing her son, Nicholas Scratch, in the 18th century.

While she is one of the villains of WandaVision, we never saw her actively harming children. The only exception was the small moment of her holding Tommy and Billy as a hostage in the closing minutes of WandaVision's penultimate episode. However, she may have harbored some secret affection for the twins.

Adult Tommy's pin in VisionQuest is something Ghost Agatha could've planted on him when he was reborn. But we don't know how Tommy got his pin as of now. We may get a flashback to this moment in an upcoming episode, because this pin carries an emotional weight to both Tommy and Billy Maximoff.

With six more episodes left, we will get a clearer picture of how much time has passed between the Agatha All Along finale and the Disney+ Vision series premiere. Some time could have passed between Agatha All Along and VisionQuest - a gap that the upcoming episodes could clarify.

One of the reasons why the MCU has struggled in recent years is the necessity to watch the previous projects. SFX Magazine interviewed showrunner Terry Matalas a few days ago, in which he was asked whether the Vision series was written with the intention of closing the book on the WandaVision Trilogy. Matalas said:

"No, not really. I would say, if anything, it's definitely more of a sequel to 'WandaVision' in a lot of ways. But it really exists on its own. It's more the Vision story, just because we're going to dig into so much of who he is in ways that the films and 'WandaVision' couldn't, including some deeper parts of his origin that may go back even further than what we believed."

The showrunner further added:

"So it's very much its own entity, but it does obviously touch upon what has come before for this guy."

Therefore, it seems that the series is mostly stand-alone. However, your viewing experience could be further enhanced by watching WandaVision and Agatha All Along.

What's next for the Vision series?

The third and fourth episodes of the series will drop this coming Tuesday. An exclusive clip from the third episode suggests that episode 3 will feature a hilarious scene in which numerous AI programs inside Vision's head interrupt a dramatic moment between him and Tommy. Apart from that, the next two episodes could also feature the appearance of Paladin's mysterious employer.
