Tomb Raider series pauses production after Sophie Turner suffers injury

Sophie Turner will be bringing life to Lara Croft in the upcoming series. Lara Croft is a character with an already huge fan following. It cannot be denied that she will be doing a remarkable job in depicting this character, especially with her distinct acting prowess.

While discussing taking on the role of Lara Croft in the upcoming series, Sophie Turner noted that she was “thrilled beyond measure”. She pointed out that Lara Croft is an “iconic character” and that she has “massive shoes to fill” to bring life to the character in the series.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the creator of the series, and Amazon MGM Studios is producing the series. Waller-Bridge is also the writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner. Chad Hodge also takes the helm as the co-showrunner and executive producer of the Tomb Raider series.

The first look of the series with Sophie Turner decked up in Lara Croft’s attire already created a huge positive response from the viewers. Just as in her other projects, where she perfectly captures the depth of the characters she takes on, in this series as well, Sophie Turner can be expected to bring authenticity.
