Tracker Season 4 Episode 1 will air on CBS on October 4. The network's action-crime procedural, based on Jeffery Deaver's 2019 novel The Never Game, returns with a new season, with its titular tracker, Colter Shaw, played by Justin Hartley.
According to Tell Tale TV, the official synopsis for the Season 4 premiere, titled Safe Harbor, reads as follows:
"Colter's search for a teenage boy's missing father leads him to a dangerous criminal operation at the Port of Los Angeles."
The series follows Colter Shaw, a skilled survivalist and tracker who earns a living helping private citizens for a reward. The upcoming episode follows Colter as he takes on a new case, which lands him in trouble with a dangerous criminal operation in LA.
Tracker Season 4 marks the return of Justin Hartley, alongside the series' main ensemble cast, namely Fiona Rene as Reenie Greene, Chris Lee as Randy, and Cassady McClincy Zhang as Melanie. Jensen Ackles, who plays Colter's brother Russell Shaw, will also return as a guest star.
Tracker Season 4 Episode 1: What to expect?
The first episode of Tracker Season 4 will follow Colter as he searches for a teenage boy's father. Like past seasons, CBS' procedural aims to keep its case-of-the-week formula while expanding Colter's personal life.
The synopsis for Episode 1 promises high-stakes tension and an action-packed entry, which will test Colter's skills as a tracker. The ordinary case will take a turn when Colter's search leads him directly to a dangerous criminal operation at the Port of LA. This would not be the first time that a case would lead Colter into danger, but our skilled survivalist is not alone anymore.
According to a report by Collider, the procedural promoted two of its characters, namely Chris Lee's Randy and Cassady McClincy Zhang's Mel, to series regulars, suggesting that Colter will work with a more stable team in Season 4. With skilled attorney Reenie by his side, the upcoming season will likely expand on the role of Colter's team as he takes on new cases.
