Tulsa King Season 4 Episode 1, titled W.W.D.D., was released on Paramount+ on October 16. The latest season marks the return of actor Sylvester Stallone as Dwight 'The General' Manfredi in the fourth season of the action-crime series. After a successful takeover of the Montague whisky business in Season 3, Dwight Manfredi wished to turn the enterprise legit.

According to The Cinemaholic, the Tulsa King Season 4 premiere revealed that the General started afresh under Friedman Enterprises and ordered his crew to go legit in every aspect. While Mitch took Dwight's orders seriously and found a creative way to get rid of the car dealership by burning it down and collecting a massive amount through an insurance fraud scam, Tyson ran into a serious problem, which likely earned Dwight a new enemy.

Here is the complete recap.

Tulsa King Season 4 Episode 1 recap: Tyson ignores Dwight's orders

The Tulsa King Season 4 premiere started with Dwight warning his crew to go legit as he wanted to leave the criminal world behind. The General asked his team to get creative and legitimize their business on paper. While many members of Dwight's crew took his orders to heart, Tyson had other plans. His business of selling ecstasy with Spencer had turned immensely profitable, making it difficult for them to abandon it. Despite Dwight's strict orders, Tyson and Spencer continued their side business. But the duo came across a major obstacle when a man named Santiago posed a threat to their business, claiming the club as his territory.

While Goodie advised the duo to find common ground with Santiago, Tyson misunderstood and decided to rob the pills. Tyson and Goodie snuck into Santiago's house in Tulsa King Season 4 Episode 1 to steal the pills. But things took a turn when Tyson accidentally dropped the pills, which alerted Santiago to the duo's presence. When Santiago arrived with a gun, Tyson shot him first and fled his house with Goodie. At the hospital, Santiago was visited by a mysterious British person who questioned him about the stolen pills, creating a new problem for Tyson and Dwight.

Bill is playing both sides in Tulsa King Season 4 Episode 1

The Tulsa King Season 4 premiere brought the General face-to-face with Ray, after he decided to expand the Montague whisky nationwide. Dwight's vision of expansion created conflict with Ray's territories in the Northeast. On the other hand, Bill returned and warned Dwight not to trust Ray.

Later, Ray called a meeting to announce his takeover of the Invernizzi family, with Vince serving as his capo. The General proposed a 25% share to Ray in exchange for distribution rights in the Northeast, which he agreed to, but with a condition. Given Dwight's past, Ray revealed one of his representatives would be sent to Tulsa, as he does not trust the General. After the meeting, Bill advised Ray not to trust Dwight, hinting he was pitting the General against the Invernizzi family head, creating yet another rivalry for Dwight.

In Tulsa King Season 4 Episode 1, Cal Thresher invited Margaret to accompany him on his private jet to the Governors' Conference on the Mariana Islands. Margaret reluctantly agreed, but before the trip, she enjoyed a date with Dwight, complete with wine and breadsticks. The montage not only highlighted Dwight's deep relationship with Margaret but also foreshadowed the impending tragedy.

Everyone aboard Thresher's private jet, including the pilots, seemed unconscious or in deep slumber when the air traffic controllers contacted them for updates. The scene set the stage for the harrowing tragedy, which came in the form of a devastating phone call from Joanne in the middle of the night to Dwight. Joanne revealed that Cal Thresher's plane went down somewhere near the Pacific Ocean. The Tulsa King Season 4 premiere concluded without confirming whether Thresher and Margaret survived but Joanne's conversation with Dwight suggested that the duo had died in the plane crash. Additionally, it seemed impossible for Margaret and Thresher to survive a crash of this magnitude, setting up a major tragedy for the General.
