During the same podcast, the question came down to whether the government is keeping UFO files a secret because it might be too much for people to accept. Pasulka said that she understands how a lot of people might react to the UFO files, but she also believes that their reaction can depend on how they already see the world.

She explained that many people who expect the truth to be deeply disturbing may have a mostly secular view of reality. They may not have spent much time thinking about spiritual matters, evil or the possibility that things exist beyond what we can see and explain physically.

Pasulka said her own experience was different because Christianity was part of her childhood. Her UFO research later pushed her to look at those beliefs again, especially after she became convinced that people were having experiences involving something beyond humanity.

But this does not mean that the research was always easy for her. She mentioned being shocked by what she learned and said some things genuinely changed her view of the world. Still, those experiences made it easier for her to fit the UFO files question into a wider spiritual view of reality.

She said:

"It's not necessarily disturbing. It's disturbing if you've never thought about these things before, but it's not disturbing for those who give it some thoughts."

For Pasulka, the mystery surrounding the UFO files is not that frightening. She said this because there are people willing to think about questions that go beyond the physical world, so if they come across the truth, it might not be that disturbing.

For Pasulka, a major UFO files disclosure could make people stop and think about questions they often avoid. She says everyone has a responsibility to consider why we are here and what our existence really means.

She points to a situation where a president suddenly confirms the existence of non-human intelligence. Such an announcement could leave people asking what they have understood about reality and humanity’s place in it.

Pasulka said that this kind of questioning could be useful rather than harmful. People might actually start thinking beyond living a normal life and explore more about existence, faith and the world around them.

She said:

"I think that this kind of a... if disclosure happened and the president, you know, talked about it tomorrow, this would actually cause a lot of people to ask that question like what's it all about? And that's probably good."

She also believes religion could play a bigger role after UFO files disclosure. If such a major announcement came from a president or another trusted public figure, people might turn back to their own religious beliefs to understand what it means.
