Vanished, the new MGM+ mystery drama, premiered on the platform on February 1, 2026, and it follows Alice Monroe (played by Kaley Cuoco), an archaeologist travelling to Marseille with her boyfriend Tom Parker (played by Sam Claflin). Everything seems to be going great until Alice takes a nap on the train and, after waking up, cannot find her boyfriend anymore. On their trip to Marseille, Alice falls asleep on the train for a while and wakes up to her boyfriend nowhere to be found on the train. She does reach out to the local authorities in France, but given that he was reluctant about living with Alice, they just think he ran away from the relationship out of feeling pressured.With authorities not being of much help, Alice takes matters into her own hands. She takes help from Helene, an investigative journalist she met on the train to Marseille. They will investigate Tom's disappearance, and Alice will find out things about Tom that will make her doubt if she even knew her partner well.Ahead of its release, Vanished had a Rotten Tomatoes score of 83% on the Tomatometer from the critics, but that score has unfortunately dropped to 63% at the time this article is being written.
