In Veronica Mars, Season 1, Episode 8, the story focuses on a girl named Meg Manning and the sheer amount of damage caused by a fake and unreal online "purity test".
Veronica finds herself in the middle of yet another school mystery, and to top things off, she's still struggling to deal with Lilly's death, which makes her obsessed with looking into the murder to find more and new clues.
Veronica Mars Season 1 Episode 8 shows how far the kids at Neptune High can also go to simply embarrass each other, and the episode also urges Veronica to take a closer look at some truths about her own personal life, apart from mystery solving.

In Veronica Mars Season 1 Episode 8, Veronica takes a closer look at photos from Lilly’s crime scene, and she also tries her level best to get access to Abel Koontz, and she sends Abel a fake letter.
Back at school, someone also steals Veronica’s clothes and throws them in a toilet, and Meg helps her out by giving Veronica a pair of her uniform.
At school, we also have a purity test that starts to spread around. Soon, the results of the tests are all posted publicly, and Meg's results claim that she cheated on her boyfriend, but Meg never even took the test, and Veronica promises to prove it and help Meg. With Mac’s help, she learns someone used Meg’s password to submit fake answers.
Meg also faces a lot of bullying.
Veronica finds out that it was Kimmy who got Meg’s password from the school IT guy, Renny, and posted the fake results online.
In other news, Abel finally meets Veronica, and he admits he killed Lilly. However, he also hints that Jake Kane might be her real father, and it might not really be Keith.

Veronica Mars helps out the students who study at her school as a private investigator. In Veronica Mars Season 1 Episode 8, she is trying to get to the bottom of two mysteries at one time.
First things first, she is trying to find the person who murdered her bestfriend Lilly Kane, and she's also trying to find the culprit who framed Meg with the help of a fake "purity test".

All throughout Veronica Mars Season 1 Episode 8, Meg gets bullied so much so that she stops coming to school, but with the help of Veronica, she exposes the people who spread false gossip about her at school.

In Veronica Mars Season 1 Episode 8, Abel Koontz is in prison because it is believed that he is the one who murdered Lilly Kane. When Veronica first goes to visit him, she doesn't think he actually did it (spoiler alert: he did not).
However, when they meet, Abel also tells Veronica that her dad isn't who she thinks he is as he hints at Jake Kane being her real father and not Kieth.

Wallace is Veronica’s best friend, and he is also trying to deal with some family issues because his mother does not think it is a good idea for her son and Veronica hang out together because his mother does not seem to like Veronica.
Apart from the issues with his mother, Wallace also has a scary neighbor who has been making his life difficult.

Erica Gimpel as Alicia Fennel:
Alicia Fennel is Wallace’s mom, and she is very protective of her son and thinks Veronica is trouble. She’s also dealing with a dangerous tenant named. By the end of Veronica Mars Season 1 Episode 8, after Keith saves her family from the tenant, she says it’s okay for Wallace and Veronica to be friends.

Tina Majorino as Mac/Cindy Mackenzie:
Macis the school’s tech genius, and she is super smart when it comes to computers. Veronica asks for Mac's help to help figure out who is logging into people's private accounts, and without Mac's help, Veronica wouldn't have been able to find the digital trail that cleared Meg’s name.

Annie Abrams as Kimmy:
In Veronica Mars Season 1 Episode 8, Kimmy is actually the one who spreads fake gossip about Meg, and even though she was Meg's friend, jealousy seemed to get in the way of their friendship.
Kimmy then use the school IT guy to help crack Meg’s password and post the fake test results only so that she could embarrass Meg.

Rudy Dobrev as Renny DeMoue:
Renny is the school’s IT guy who definitely shouldn't be working at a school. He’s the one who gave out the student passwords to Kimmy because he was dating her. He’s basically the reason the whole "purity test" mess was able to happen.

Veronica Mars Season 1 Episode 8 takes Meg's character and shows us a look into just how cruel the students at Neptune High can get.
Veronica ends up clearing out Meg’s name, but right now, Veronica also has bigger fish to fry because of what Abel's told her. Wallace also deals with his problems, and even though by the end, Meg's problem has been solved, Lilly's case is still a mystery that needs to be dealt with.
