It is the year for Marvel Studios, with one intriguing project lined up after another, especially with VisionQuest just around the corner. The series is set to explore the challenges that Vision is going to come across while trying to find meaning and purpose in his life.

Right after the announcement of the series, viewers have been eagerly waiting to see Paul Bettany take on the role of Vision. In a recent interview with Collider, showrunner Terry Matalas opened up about the Marvel star who blew him away in VisionQuest.

Showrunner of VisionQuest opens up about the shocking performance of a Marvel star

While speaking in the interview, Terry Matalas revealed that the performance of one Marvel star in VisionQuest completely shocked him. He noted that T’Nia Miller, who takes on the role of Jocasta in the upcoming series, delivered a stellar performance, which he pointed out to be “chilling, nuanced and even a little heartbreaking”.

Matalas also adds that there is a reason behind choosing to keep T’Nia Miller’s character “out of a lot of the promotion” for the upcoming show, which is set to release on October 14. In the interview, Matalas adds that he cannot wait “for everyone to see it”. Though the primary focus of VisionQuest will be on Paul Bettany’s character in the series, T’Nia Miller’s character will also play a significant role in the series. Besides Paul Bettany and T’Nia Miller, some of the other cast members of VisionQuest are Emily Hampshire, Ruaridh Mollica, James Spader, etc.

James Spader is set to bring life to Ultron’s character in the series. Emily Hampshire is set to take on the role of E.D.I.T.H. Elizabeth Olsen has been a significant part of WandaVision besides Paul Bettany. However, there is no official information regarding whether she will return in VisionQuest. The trailer for the upcoming series perfectly captured some of the snippets of the intense twists and turns that the series will bring forth.

Through the years, Paul Bettany has also done multiple projects depicting his acting prowess. Some of Bettany’s other notable projects of Bettany that can also be added to your watchlist before this series arrives are Funny or Die’s High Science, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Manhunt, Transcendence, The Young Victoria, etc.

While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Paul Bettany revealed that the series will bring forth a “new type of Vision” as it explores the path that Vision will choose after the turns of events that he has come across previously.

Bettany also notes that for the upcoming series, they have taken a “massive swing” in a “peculiar” and “eccentric” manner. Besides this series, Marvel Studios is also set to release Avengers: Doomsday at the end of this year.
