Philip J. Fry (Billy West) and his Planet Express crew are officially returning in Futurama Season 14, the latest installment in the Matt Groening-created sci-fi animated sitcom. The 10-episode season premiered on August 3 on Hulu and Disney+ (in the UK), with new episodes arriving weekly.

The sitcom follows Fry, a New York City pizza delivery boy who is accidentally cryogenically preserved in 1999 and defrosted in the year 3000. Fry wakes up to a changed and astonishing New York City and begins working at the interplanetary delivery company Planet Express, where he befriends the robot Bender (John DiMaggio) and the one-eyed mutant Leela (Katey Sagal).

Futurama Season 14 marks the return of Fry and his crew, along with the supporting characters of Professor Hubert Farnsworth (West), accountant Hermes Conrad (Phil LaMarr) and alien lobster Dr. John Zoidberg (West), as they explore the year 3026.

It's important to note that the latest season of the sitcom is making a major change from its predecessor, which dropped all its episodes at once, for a seamless binge-watching experience.

Seasoned fans will be able to meet with Fry and Co. every Monday as Futurama Season 14 will roll out weekly episodes after a two-episode premiere on August 3. The recently released two-episode premiere will be followed by weekly episodes every Monday on Hulu til the Season 14 finale, scheduled to arrive on September 28.

If you are in the US, you can catch the weekly episodes of Season 14 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. Disney+ will follow the same release schedule, streaming weekly episodes on Monday in the UK and internationally.

According to Hulu, the upcoming season of Futurama will expand on the trio's intergalactic adventures, which have defined the sitcom for fourteen seasons. The official logline for the upcoming entry reads as follows:

''Brace yourselves... The future is about to get a whole lot stranger! It's a non-stop onslaught of swaggering space pirates, lab-grown meats, sexy scams... plus the shocking return of Dr. Zoidberg's lost love! You didn't see that coming, prior to being told about it just now! It's a thrilling, all-new season.''

Naturally, it will be a peek into the future as Fry and his Planet Express crew will explore the year 3026, complete with fresh cosmic adventures and multiple trips across the universe. In addition to Fry and his returning crew, Futurama Season 14 will also mark the return of Nibble, Leela's pet, who was revealed to be a hyper-intelligent leader of his species, who originally pushed Fry into the cryogenic chamber in 1999.

While Nibble was suspiciously absent in the previous two seasons, Season 14 marks his exciting comeback, with the eighth episode (titled Lord Nibbler in the Nothingverse) entirely devoted to Leela's pet.
