Waiting for the next Mystic Nine episode? Here's the full release schedule

William Chan's Mystic Nine is finally here, and it serves as the sequel to the 2016 version and also predates the flagship series of the Daomu Biji (The Grave Robbers' Chronicles) universe. The story is set during the Republic of China era, around 1933, in the city of Changsha.

At the heart of the series are the Old Nine Gates, a group of nine powerful families that control much of the city's underground world. They are involved in tomb raiding, antique trading, and many local affairs, which ultimately make them the most powerful figures in the region.

While each family has their own agendas, they also focus on maintaining a balance of power between themselves. However, things change when a strange train arrives at Changsha railway station filled with dead bodies and mysterious coffins. As the story moves forward, the characters face new challenges and mysteries, offering a thrilling plot.

Mystic Nine arrived on July 30, 2026, on Youku, and the first four episodes are out for streaming. If you're aware of The Grave Robbers' Chronicles universe and the 2016 version, the return of familiar characters will surely engage you.

Mystic Nine release schedule: Here's when new episodes of the 2026 C-drama drop

As mentioned before, Mystic Nine 2026 is out, bringing back the key figures like Zhang Qi Shan, Wu Lao Gou, Hu Xian Gu and more. Since the events take place in the same universe and Republican era, the Nine Gates face new challenges.

As for streaming, Mystic Nine 2026 is available on Youku. Those who have the Express Pass can watch the first four episodes today, while those with the VIP will get access to just three, followed by two new episodes every day.

Mystic Nine (2026) plot and cast details

The Nine Gates are back in Mystic Nine 2026, as the families remain as powerful as before. But this time, their leader, Zhang Qi Shan, is working on the mysterious disappearance of the 401st Unit.

This isn't something normal, as the unit had around one hundred people linked to the Zhang family. And now, they're nowhere to be found, which becomes the main quest in the C-drama.

To find the truth, Zhang Qi Shan teams up with other key figures of the Nine Gates, Wu Lao Gou, Huo Xian Gu, and Qi Tie Zui. As they start this journey, they step into the World-Parting Tower, also known as the Interdimensional Tower.

This mysterious place is filled with dangers unlike other tomb explorations. As they continue to go inside this tower, the team encounters supernatural phenomena, unexplained distortions of time and space, and long-hidden secrets that have remained buried for centuries.

At the same time, they'll confront rival groups and factions who have their own agendas to explore the tower. So, the conflict makes their mission even more challenging, as they have to deal with both human enemies and the unknown dangers hidden within the ancient structure.
