The teaser trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 showed us a glimpse of a (probably) younger Foggy, confirming his reappearance in the current season. For those who don't know, the Born Again Season 1 premiere opened with the shocking death of Foggy Nelson. Some appreciated this plotline, while other fans were livid at the shocking loss of an original series character. Now, Foggy Nelson actor Elden Henson, revealed his reaction to the character's death. Henson was a part of a panel at C2E2 2026, where he addressed his reaction to reading Foggy's death in the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. The actor said:"When I read [the scene], I actually thought it was a really great scene. I was into it. It’s a bummer when something comes to an end. I don’t know, I felt pretty lucky to have played him, and at least there was some sort of closure."Charlie Cox, on the other hand, has a different reaction to Foggy Nelson's Daredevil: Born Again death: View this post on Instagram Instagram PostWhile Elden Henson described the scene positively, his co-star, Charlie Cox who has been playing Daredevil for a decade in the MCU found the scene heartbreaking. Describing Foggy's death scene as "traumatic", Cox said this in the same panel:"I haven’t read a huge amount of other comics outside of Daredevil, but I struggle to think of a more beautiful, obvious friendship than the Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson friendship. The loss of Foggy and the loss of Elden, my friend on set every day, that’s traumatic. It’s hard."This is not the first time that Charlie Cox spoke about Foggy's death in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 premiere, the impact of which is felt to this date on the series. Moreover, Cox even suggested that the production team had even considered keeping Foggy alive in an Entertainment Weekly interview last month:"So I'll tell you what's impressive about that. I remember there was a moment where they discussed the possibility of that being the case."Cox further continued:"At the end of season 1 you saw Foggy in a cage. Sadly, that was not the case. Because we didn't believe that it was realistic. And the thing about our show is we try to keep it as realistic as possible."Charlie Cox also discussed Foggy and Karen's role in Matt's life at the Cleveland Fan Expo last year. Addressing the original version of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, the version that Marvel pulled the plug on, Cox revealed that the version did not have Foggy and Karen. Cox said:“We shot the show, and they weren’t involved at that point, and we really didn’t know what was going to happen with their character, or I didn’t know at least. It felt bittersweet. I always think you can’t underestimate the importance of Foggy and Karen in terms of the tone they set for that show. They are the center that allows Matt to go off and do these things and they give stakes to what he does, just in terms of storytelling. They’re so beautifully portrayed by Deborah and Elden. It was pretty special having them come back. It was ironic because with that first scene with them, we’re reminiscing over the past because that made sense for the story, but it was also true for us, because we hadn’t seen each other for a long time. We hadn’t been on camera for years and so we were there reminiscing over the past.”What's next for Born Again?Daredevil: Born Again is in its second season as of now. Wilson Fisk has strengthened his grip over New York as Matt tries to bring down The Kingpin's mayoral regime. Meanwhile, Matt and his resistance army have to contend with the Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF). The official logline of season 2 reads:"In season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild."As of now, three episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 are streaming on Disney+.
