The Snowfall series finale saw Franklin's CIA handler Teddy McDonald wipe out $73 million in wealth and legitimate real estate investments. While Franklin managed to nab Teddy and was about to get half of his wealth back in the finale, Franklin's mother fatally shot Teddy, thus ending the cycle of money and violence. The Snowfall finale left Franklin broke, heavily addicted to alcohol and homeless.

As Franklin's childhood friend, Leon was deeply involved in his dr*g business in Snowfall. Due to his fierce loyalty to Franklin, he became the muscle of his empire and even involved his girlfriend, Wanda, in the operation, who was tasked with cooking cr*ck. However, Leon's life saw a turning point when he accidentally killed a 5-year-old during a shootout with a rival gang. This sent Leon on a guilt trip and he regretted the consequences of the dr*g trade on his community.

On the other hand, Wanda's involvement in Franklin's dr*g trade addicted her to cr*ck herself and she started dealing with rival traders. This led Franklin to cut her off from his empire, leaving her addicted and homeless.

Then came a turning point for both the protagonists of The Drop: A Snowfall Saga. During a drive-by shooting, Wanda took a bullet meant for Leon and saved his life. This prompted Leon to get his life together. He picked up extra night shifts at work, paid Wanda's hospital bill and helped her recover and get clean. This served as a major wake-up call for Wanda, who not only got clean but also distanced herself from the community and moved to Ghana.

In the Snowfall ending, Wanda and Leon reconnected, got married and returned to Los Angeles. The finale saw Leon funding a free legal clinic to give back to his community. He also tried to help a broke Franklin in the Snowfall finale but he eventually walked away from the dr*g scene after realizing that he was beyond help.
