We Are All Trying Here is scheduled to release on April 18. The JTBC Korean drama, also known by the name Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness, is directed by Cha Young Hoon and falls in the psychological and life genre.

The drama features Go Youn Jung, known for her roles in Resident Playbook, Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow, and the recently released Netflix series Can This Love Be Translated? Koo Kyo Hwan, famous for Parasyte: The Grey and D.P., will be appearing in the male lead.

The synopsis of the drama reads:

"An aspiring director hits rock bottom after 20 years chasing his debut — until he meets an overwhelmed producer who helps him rediscover his self-worth."

We Are All Trying Here release schedule

We Are All Trying Here is scheduled to release on April 18. The series will be originally released on JTBC and will be available to stream on Netflix for international viewers who come with a subscription.

Viewers who don't have a subscription can choose the basic plan that costs $8.99 per month and comes with ads. For the viewers who prefer watching the series without ads, they can opt for the standard plan that costs $19.99 per month.

We Are All Trying Here reportedly consists of twelve episodes in total with an estimated runtime of one hour and ten minutes per episode. The drama will run on a weekly release schedule with new episodes dropping every Saturday and Sunday, giving viewers something to look forward to every weekend.

What is We Are All Trying Here about?

The story of the K-drama revolves around Hwang Dong Man, played by Koo Kyo Hwan, and Byeon Eun A, played by Go Youn Jung. Dong Man is trying to make his debut as a director but fails to do so. At the same time, his successful friends and acquaintances make him feel like a failure. On the other hand, Eun A looks like someone whose life is completely sorted, but she hides her pain inside. After he meets Eun A, a producer, he gains hope to achieve his dream.

In the trailer of the series, he tells her thanks by saying:

"Thanks to you, Eun-a, it's my first green light today."

Replying to him, she says:

"It's the first green light for me too."

As the story progresses, the two become comfortable with each other in terms of bonding and help in achieving their goals, overcoming the personal struggles and failures in the film industry.

The other main cast includes Oh Jung Se in the role of Park Gyeong Se, Kang Mal Geum in the role of Ko Hye Jin, and Park Hae Joon in the role of Hwang Jin Man.
