Wednesday’s Luis Guzmán hints at “family reunion” and exciting “guest stars” in Netflix horror series’s Season 3

Netflix's supernatural horror series Wednesday Season 3 is currently in production and among the most anticipated shows on the streaming platform. As it was already revealed by showrunner Alfred Gough, Season 3 of the acclaimed series will bring more of the Addams family to the mix.

Recently, in an interview with ScreenRant, Luis Guzmán, who plays Gomez Addams, also confirmed that an Addams "family reunion" is coming in Season 3 of Wednesday, with new guest stars joining. He stated:

"Yeah, it's a bit of a family reunion going on. We have great guest stars coming in."

Netflix's supernatural horror was renewed in 2025 and began filming in early 2026, with recent additions to the cast including Game of Thrones' Lena Headey, Ted Lasso's James Lance, and Andrew McCarthy. Earlier, it was also announced that Stranger Things alum Winona Ryder was also part of the upcoming Season.

While it is not revealed which characters they will be playing, it was previously hinted by the showrunner that they will explore more of the Addams family in Season 3. With Luis Guzmán confirming the same in the ScreenRant interview, some of these actors might portray Wednesday's extended family member.

Along with that, Guzmán also talked about how the franchise, which "started as a comic strip," went on to become a huge success, with the creation of movies and shows about the Addams family. He also shared how grateful he is to be working on the series and his love for Tim Burton and everyone involved in making it a massive success on Netflix. He further added:

"I pinch myself every day. I would never in ten lifetimes have imagined I'd be Gomez Addams, but here it is. I love working with Tim Burton, my writers, my cast, my crew. I love the response from audiences and fans."

What happened in Wednesday Season 2?

Wednesday's return to Nevermore Academy in Season 2 brings more chaos and even threatens the lives of her family and her friends. From being stalked by a fellow student to losing her psychic powers, she goes through it all. Furthermore, after being at loggerheads with each other, Season 2 also brings Morticia and her a little closer at the end.

She also saves her brother, Pugley, from being the next victim of Isaac, who had also stolen all of Gomez's electric powers to cure his sister, Françoise, who was Hyde. It is also revealed in Season 2 of the Netflix horror series that the Thing is actually Isaac's hand, which he forcibly attaches to himself.

Season 2 ended with Wednesday having a vision of her aunt Ophelia, who is revealed to be alive and is held captive by her grandmother. Furthermore, at the end, it is also revealed that Wednesday begins her journey to find Enid, who had transformed into an Alpha werewolf to save the former's life.
